Okay, I'm starting something on my thread called, Throwback Thursday. It's popular on Facebook, but since Bonesmart is now my new Facebook, I'll do it here. I wanted to do it last week, but the man at the Fun-house wouldn't let off the
Emotional Roller Coaster Breakdown Ride, so here we are.
Throwback Thursday!
I had Partial Knee Replacement on my right knee 5 weeks ago. I'm healing slowly but surely. At least that's what the "they people" say. I say it too sometimes and there are the times I just wanna know, when will I wake up without feeling like Bill Murray in Ground Hog Day w/a double feature of The Wizard of Oz, w/the Tin Man screaming "Oil Can!" I have good days and bad days. Although for the most part they're good, they all start the same. I feel like I have a tree trunk for a leg when I wake up? Is that normal?
This was my first post.

Ok, I was not expecting that... this was supposed to be FUN! Stop it emotions.

OK. I just went back to the beginning of my first knee surgery and all lovely things that come with it; one of which was the isolation. I started thinking about how lonely and depressed I was at times before one of my friends stepped in AND I found Bonesmart. Yes, I did ALL THAT after typing those 5 words at the beginning of this paragraph. They don't call me Multitasking Mama for nothing... wait, they call me something else but that's not what this post is about, stay focused people!!!!
Anyway, I remember thinking WHEN WILL GROUNDHOG DAY BE OVER! It was in reference to the movie Groundhog Day, as it seemed every morning I woke up to the same thing! Wellllllllllll, I am HAPPY TO SAY

(stop) I said, I am happy to say that Groundhog day is over.

Happy tears.

Yes, my RKR is still a little stiff, especially in the morning, but I can throw it off the side of the bed and it loosens up. It can go without ice first thing in the morning and I can bend it without having to do 8 million "heel-slides."

For this I am truly thankful. I shall now change the title to
Throwback Thursday Thankfulness. Thankful Throwback Thursdays, it's a work in progress, but you get the point.
Since my first post, I have experienced the joy and pain of knee replacement. I have truly grown in my understanding of what is needed for a successful and smooth as possible recovery, thanks to this site, you guys and mainly
Josephine.

Who came at me both guns blazing immediately after my first post. I was like gee she sure is sharp!

"Hello to you too!"

However, had it not been for the sternness of her tone it may have taken my longer to catch hold to the Bonesmart manta and I was already 5 weeks out. So to this I say, THANK YOU,

THANK YOU

AND THANK YOU

Josephine.
After her post
Roy Gardiner came along to soften the blow and I knew I had found a safe place to recover.

Along the way I have met many people who have made my recovery easier and some made it even fun!
You know who you are and if I start naming folks on Oxy somebody will be left out and I don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings at such a monumental moment for me.
This site is like being addicted to crack! NOT that I know ANYTHING about that.

I say, it's like Online Dating without the heartache and disappointment.

Now THAT's something, I know a thing or two about.

But that's another forum.
As far as this one goes, I am happy to be here!
Oh, to answer anyone's question as to whether or not it's
normal to have a Tree Trunk for a leg when you wake up,

Um... YES, but it eventually does go away and one day you'll wake up feeling
normal. Today I woke up feeling
improved and I'll take it!
So, that's
Throwback Thankful Thursday post, WATCH OUT! I may be coming to a thread near you.
Hope everyone has a Kneeeasy Day
