Patricia congratulations on your grandniece Emily!
I don't worry about exercises when I am so busy with the house and getting lost on trails. Micha, I don't do many of the same exercises in PT now that I did at the beginning. They have you do strengthening things and drop the easy stuff as you progress. Straight leg lifts are still in my repertoire and stair exercises, standing knee bends next to a rail, treadmill, bike etc.
Sleeping is tough! Sometimes its as simple as not setting up with the pillows between legs or enough pillows to raise legs, get comfortable. For any of you, probably MANY of you, with severe arthritis...my rheumy orders Trazadone for me and it is so good for sleep. It's not a sleeping pill and not addicting but it works beautifully and there has never been a hang over. I don't always take it but its really good.
