That's called a mood scar, and there was no extra charge for it with your round trip TKR surgery!

Well today and yesterday I have been taking things so much easier and can feel the benefits. I auctually went driving today the first time since the op and found that to be fine. No problems. Automatic would be better for op left knee but changing gear wasnt bad at all. Getting in and out was ok too. Slowly but surely my life is getting back to normal. Did a HUGE shop at the freezer shop but was very sensible and got it delivered and Karlea put it all away for me. Feel much relaxed and lookin forward to Christmas a little more now :santaclap:

Taking it easy or easier sure does have its upside you've discovered. Congrats on driving---it is so liberating to drive again. Keep everything in perspective and the holidays can be fun even while recovering. [Bonesmart.org] Onwards and upwards - my journey continues

Thank you Judy. Love looking at your posts with all the different smilies. They make me very smiley :)

I thought I would share a picture with you of my three lovely girls who have been so good to me since my op. Sometimes I dont think we give our kids enough credit but Karlea, Laura and Kerry have been brilliant and when I am whining or going off on one they just say "Chill yur beans Mum chill ax I will make you a cup of tea. Always works. Thank you girlies. Love you lots.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. It is so nice that you have daughters to help you during your recovery. And I love their childhood matching outfits.

Patricia,
As we might say in this side of the pond, What a lovely bunch of coconuts. Your girls are beautiful in looks and spirit too. I am sure they have been a great help to you since your surgery.

Patricia, I missed reading your thread for a few days, but want to join in the chorus of support in the face of comments by silly people, and in the chorus of saying how lovely your daughters look.

Thank you so much ladies for your lovely comments. I love my girlies. They make me smile every day. So do my three sons but dont see them as often. x

Oh my I don't check in and so much has happened.....
With those stupid people (key word 'ignorant') I accept that they are not someone who is a few bricks short but the person looking for the bricks the ones who are short, lost. So they can have some. There is nothing you can do about them so forget them. They cannot know what you are going through because they have not been there. Be honest with them.... "Yes it is a very long recovery. It really gets me down when I feel I want to do so much more and can't. It is depressing talking about it." Then you change the subject. Let them wallow in their ignorance. Most of them are really trying to be supportive but don't know how.
Your girls are lovely! In both pictures! It is soooo sad they grow up but then you get beautiful grandchildren!!!!! No down side....
Cheer up girl and be realistic with what you can comfortably do. It is nice your daughter is home for a while... take full advantage of her help. :tree-miley:

Love the pics of your girls both young and older. Tried to match them up but could not! :xmaskitty:

OK Karlea, Laura and Kerry in present photo. Cute photo Kerry karlea and laura at the front. All very different girls. Kerry the eldest works at a letting agency, Karlea middle one third year at Uni and Laura the youngest at 18 is a wedding planner.

They let flats and houses out for people to rent. Over here if a flat is vacant we say it is "To Let"

Well today was the fourth time i saw my physio in eleven weeks and she signed me off. My ROM was 95 so not much improvement from last time my extension was 0 again which is good. She put me on a recumbant bike which I managed really well. The upright bike like I have at home i couldnt manage all the way round. She just told me to keep practicing. Tried me on the steps which wernt very high and I managed ok but couldnt manage the stairs at home yet which are steeper and more of them. So thats it no more physio. Left to my own devices. I cant believe how different it is here to the states.
