No more days? What? Wait.... ONE Sleep?

Yes, I have surgery at 7 am here, which should be 2am in Hawaii, so depending upon when you have to leave for hospital, I may be in recovery before you get up-if you sleep the night before!

@AgilityDog, in a perfect world, and if we could get deployment papers to go to Hawaii...AND if they didn't need to go into quarantine...I could bring you a poodle to snuggle with! Henry and Isaac are #1 snugglers. They will be with you in spirit.

@Mascaramom I forgot about you! You are on Tuesday! I'll be thinking of you watching to see you, too!

If you would like to take a moment to paint a funny picture in your mind...today the boys had to go for flu shots since we travel so much. Gary was at the museum, my best friend is entertaining business associates (she refers to them as the King and Queen) and was cleaning and cooking all day, my sister is taking care of my brother in law who had knee replacement surgery by my OS. Since my PA said I could drive, I took the boys, BUT told the vets office they would need to help me with them. A little vet tech, not even 100 pounds if she had army boots on came out to help me with 3 standard poodles totaling 205 active pounds. She did look a bit like the human version of a push me pull you out of Dr. Doolittle! Isaac wanted his mommy, Foster said "let's go" and Henry was in a senior moment all to himself. None of them knew what to do with the strange human at the end of the leash who was not their mom or dad.

The Quarantine begins when the blood sample arrives at the approved lab. The favin report goes to the State. It's good for 2 years? Sparky Quarantined in his own home. I wasn't leaving my little man behind! If a dog enters HI it's easier to take them to AU or UK, as I recall.

I read that harp music has healing benefits. I tried to do a study with Diabetics and use blood sugar levels to help quantify the results.

My surgery time was 1PM. But after chatting with the OS, we were told to arrive an hour earlier than 1st requested. Maybe they need an extra hour because I am a chicken. :chuckmarch: So I guess you will be starting your steak dinner when I am still awake.@MammaT

Wow! @AgilityDog
That is crazy. I've never heard that.
For me...It was recommended I sleep on clean sheets the night before surgery, after showering with Hibiclens
Then shower with Hibiclens again the morning of surgery, after all of the soap and conditioner was rinsed from my hair. I also had to swab my nose 2x daily with Mupirocin for 5 days pre-op
Thats the same routine I was told..

Not looking forward to putting cream up my nose.

Doubt they will have steak for me @AgilityDog. However, did pick up a small roast and some chicken for later this week. Son is an excellent cook and he will make up for poor hospital food.

We have one more sleep! Get that bag packed today.

We babysat and it was kinda late when we got home. But I have Hibiclensed and am in my bed with clean sheets. Technically, i have 2 sleeps. Although it is Sunday. Church is in about 6 hours and 15 min. Not sure I will make it. Not sure I won't.:praying:

I made it to church. I am home. I have clean sheets. I have coffee. My bag is half packed. Now to hit the stores that have food & a 3-way lightbulbs. The lamp says only 3-way & the one that went black was the last one. Cleaning. Cleaning. @MammaT if it hurts now, oh well. I don't want sand and dust bunnies. BTW: it is possible to fill up 'My List' on Netflix.

@AgilityDog - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and waiting to hear from you on the other side! You know how people learn a few key phrases of a foreign language before they travel? your two new phrases are "I'm ready for my pain meds" and "more icebags, please" . You're going to do great and soon the hip pain will be gone! :console2::flwrysmile:

:hi: You must be so tired of washing sheets and making up the bed by now :heehee:

Hope today is full and peaceful. Tomorrow will be here in a flash.
You'll soon have surgery behind you.....yahoo! Let the healing begin!!
Prayers for comfort and peace of mind as you await tomorrow.
@AgilityDog

Our freezer is full of icing @SaraK I hope DH doesn't Bring home very many frozen items! DH has had about 2hands worth of fingers, twice, in surgeries. He will read my mind, as usual! (He tried to be Evil Kinevil, and a few more unbreakable, super testosterone, young males things)

Good luck tomorrow @AgilityDog. Sitting with legs up watching the game. Son brought his laundry home since he’ll be here for the week. Trying to get it done for him. Moving slow tonight. Not packing much of a bag. iPad, phone, charger, clean undies, a book and snacks. Since I will only be wearing my clothes a couple of hours in the morning, I’ll just wear them home. Surgery center prefers you just stay in gowns while there.

See you on the other side.
