No more days? What? Wait.... ONE Sleep?

@EmEm my DH won't mind a wash.:bath: We have one bed here and I agree about the duvet!

:dubious: the Nurse did tell me about that as well @MammaT

It is not strange here, but there is a washer & dryer out side. I can :hiking: over the uneven grass or:climb:over a fence to get there. I will do the:old: over the grass. I better start  first thing

Interesting about the clean sheets, pj's etc. I wasn't advised about any of this but did have clean sheets the night before surgery. I also showered the day of surgery with a special iodine pad and dried off with clean towel and put on freshly laundered sweats. Don't remember any nose swabs the day of surgery....

. All this PREPPING! AAAAAK! I feel like Im missing something. I go to the hospital the day before for a pre-op visit with the Anesthesiologist(?) And to sign a bunch of papers. The next day I will be admitted for 2 days.. I have no idea what my instructions will be yet!

It's hard for planners (the nice word for it) like me when they do that! Sometimes you just have to relax and tell yourself if you needed to know it already, they would have told you by now. Most likely they'll give you the instructions at your pre-op (my doctor only had you do the Hibiclens and clean sheets the night before). And all of the clean sheets for 5 days, etc. You're hearing about is just preventive measures. If you're concerned, though, give them a call.

I would bet, if I were a betting man @Mascaramom that my washing is just an abundance of care. I am sure if you should decide to have 5 nights of clean sheets that your OS would not be upset. I will follow what my OS wants me to do. I have no doubt that your OS is taking wonderful care of you. I'm also sure that they will answer any of your questions and put you at ease.

When I go on a trip, I always forget something. As soon as I figure out what it is, I relax & feel better. Let's find something similar for you.

@jaydub63 - or, in my case, my 16 YO son (although changing the sheets on the recliner isn't hard :heehee: - so glad the replacement will be here in a couple of weeks!)

News flash! In case you forgot!
Upcoming life changing event!!!
Hope your nerves have already frayed, so now you can just be relieved and excited it will soon be behind you, @AgilityDog
:yahoo:

Monday is coming @AgilityDog. Day one of special body wash for me. Let’s get that last minute prep done this weekend!

Bone Class was very informative. I think it was nice to sit in a room with 5 or 6 others preparing for hip or knee surgery. DH was with me so I can check with him on all the stuff I can't remember. I had a few more xrays. We met the Anesthesiologist. Got more info. Afterwards we checked Goodwill and brought home a brand new toilet seat. One more check mark on the list.

We hope to spend time with 'the kids' this weekend. My daughter is worried that they might make me sick. No fevers. I think they have 'normal allergy' stuff going on. Off to wash sheets & towels. :rotfl:

I had a very full classroom for my hip class. Must be a lot of dodgy hips in my area! I think I was the youngest person there having the surgery.

Monday is coming quickly - sounds like you are just about ready!

It seemed like everyone in our room were all patients of the same OS. And all having surgery in the week. At least one flew in from another island. That happens a lot here. I'm grateful for a simple drive.

If you really must, use a cycle for exercising a hip or a knee.

Thank you. Thank you. @Poodles I was walking through Goodwill and it was tangled with some stuff for pullups. There is a nob that adjusts the tension. Now all I need is a Standard Poodle to snuggle.:puppysmooze:

@MammaT and I are moving forward! True. She should be out of recovery way ahead of me.... I will look for all my Hippy friends when I get to my phone
