Thanks! It is 11:04PM I think I will go take my Hibiclense shower & use my clean towel and then find my clean my sheets. So I can look at the ceiling. I don't have to be at the hospital until 10AM. I can probably get a load of sheets done.

I get to drink water until Midnight. A wise man said drink lots of water ahead of time..... @mcopt I have a huge glass and maybe I can drink 2

Hi @AgilityDog just make sure you are well hydrated don't drink vast quantities and make yourself uncomfortable like everything else on this journey slow and steady regular sips better than big gulps you will do well

@AgilityDog Best wishes for your surgery. My OS lets patients drink Gatorade up til 1 hour before surgery. Makes putting that iv in much easier. Good thoughts coming your way....

I received a telephone call from an unknown number. A hang up, actually. I think I will try for a little sleep. Try is the operative word.

The night before my first THR, I heard someone trying to get into my house about midnight. No one responded when I called out. Younger son was staying with a friend that night but called older son and he said it wasn't him (didn't look like his car). Freaked me out enough that I called the police to request extra drivebys (thinking someone might have gotten surgery day wrong and thinking no one at home). Police officer took the info and came back about 10 minutes later. Had found the individual next door - friend of neighbor coming to stay with him and went to wrong house. You'd think a former Secret Service agent would be smart enough to answer when I called out instead of dashing to his car! Definitely an interesting way to meet someone!

Hope you get some sleep but, if not, anesthesiologist will help you take a nap! Best of luck to you!

Good gosh - you've been waiting there for 4 hours?!? Of course, best not to rush them but I know you'd like to get this started! Getting up early (after not sleeping much) to get in for first surgery of the day on both of mine wasn't fun, but sitting around has to be harder. My heart goes out to you!
