Hi Dean
Sorry to hear you are in the ODIC. I think taking it easy until Tuesday is a good idea. Hope your weekend is restful!

Hi @Constanze and I hope you also have a great weekend. I have another question for you but anyone can answer.
Q. What comes between fear and sex?

Hi @SurreyGirl and many thanks for reaching out to me (ha ha just love the newspeak). Actually, thanks for your kind wishes, everyone on here is really thoughtful, not like the real world eh? I really have no idea what I would have done without bonesmart, fantastic.

Barely keeping up up w all the shenanigans here! What a fun distraction! @Jamedean I’m 7 1/2 weeks and I see you are right behind me. Once I got the meds settled out, and it sounds like you have, I’m eating better, sleeping better and ready to meet the day in the morning. And I’m getting some good laughs thanks to you all! Last week I realized that I needed to walk around more during the day. I’m still stiff in the morning and use a crutch from time to time — I use all the aids I can - I don’t suffer well. Then I’m off! I’m clearing out my kitchen for a long overdue project. My nephew will help w heavy lifting! ‘In a clutch, I use my crutch.’ ‘When it aches, I bake cakes!’ (Part of cleaning out the kitchen.) Im not so good with lyrics but you all seem to have a talent!

@Jamesdean Hope you have had a more comfortable day today! Your brain certainly doesn't seem to have the drain, even if your body does!!! Loving the fun in the social room! Wishing you a comfortable weekend, and no :egypdance:until Tuesday! :cheers:

Hi to @wcgirl and @Alitm Thank you both for your lovely messages, it really is heartening. I am really overwhelmed with it all on here. As far as I can tell this is a very selfish process and difficult to share with nearest and dearest but easy to share with everyone on here.

Thanks again and have a really good weekend.

Hi @Josephine Yes I was aware of that but Rivers offered a lot less waiting time for consultation and operation so I went for that. Chances are it would have been the same surgeon. Anyway, back to see him in Tuesday. Have a good weekend and thanks for your help.

Hello @Jamesdean ,
Thank you for the Denglish joke. It's a really good intelligence test. Even I wouldn't have guessed, and I'm a bonkers twitface.:rofsign:I wish you a pain-free weekend with a lot of music.
Best - Constanze

Good morning (for me:mcoffee:)
Hope you are having a good Sunday?
Do you feel like backing off the activity is relieving some of the effects of overdoing? I do hope so.

Hope your Sunday is peaceful.
Hang in there with the boredom factor...will be well worth it in the end.:chuckmarch:

Hi @Mojo333 and good afternoon .good evening, good morning, merry Christmas and happy Easter to you, oops forgot hannukah. Relaxing and small victory over my settee where I can now sit without it feeling like someone is using my butt as pin cushion, .it is so soooooo nice. Had lovely walk this morning, stopping whenever I felt tired, not quick, no pain or ache and enjoyed walking slowly, heel toe. Even adjusted the crutch as I am much more upright now. Didn't overdo it and enjoyed the fresh air. Now on folded duvet on top of cushion on top of settee.....bliss.

You sound like the Princess and the Pea, or excuse me, the Prince and the Pea.
Do you recall that old Fairy tale?
At least you're comfy, enjoy the evening and a great week to you!
@Jamesdean

Thanks @Layla we are probably not allowed to differentiate anymore so I think it will be "Member of a Royal Family and a non defined vegetable". I am in a zone after 6 weeks that I can only refer to in US terms as Butt Bliss and in UK as Bum Bliss

Isn't that so ridiculous! I get so tired of worrying about being PC :hairpulling:
I prefer to open mouth, insert foot, so much easier....especially with my new hip:rotfl:
Have a good one, Jamesdean!
@Jamesdean

James you do make me laugh! Hope you are enjoying your adapted sofa! I have my father in laws old fashioned high armchair which has made my life easier.

At the drinks party today there were many low squishy sofas. The crowd who were making remarks about my hip recovery taking ages were all standing up whilst chatting. I suddenly realised that, unlike me, they were incapable of sitting in these as they could not get up from them, whereas I now can. Small victories!

I still think I need to take a decent photo of my scar to whip out whenever I get the smart Alec comments - or offer them a ride in my old sports car!!

Dearest member of royal family,

I'm so happy you got for a leisurely stroll today! Now sitting on the settee?! I told you the recliner was no match for that battle.

I hope you take it easy the rest of today and are able to repeat tomorrow. :SUNsmile::walking:

@SwampHiker yes you were right, as always. Settee has won - no contest. Yes took it easy watching football (soccer) on the telly (television). Couple of chats on the dog and bone (telephone), cup of Rosie (tea), and soon enough it will be time to close my minces (eyes) and ave a kip. I shall take your advice, as always, and have a wee stroll tomorrow.

Thank you for the vocabulary lesson. I would have been lost in that conversation with the bone and minces. Don't forget to laugh somewhere in there - we know it really does help :cheers:

@SwampHiker and thing Always time to have a good giraffe (laugh), cockney rhyming slang. Hope you had a productive restful day on your way to your successful recovery. Are you still busy with your song writing career?

Dean .:hiking:
