Yay! :yay: You're going to live! I knew it, I knew it! :happydance:
Hope you had a good nights sleep (by the time you're reading this)
and a great rest of the week!
@Jamesdean

@Josephine many thanks and obrigado for your help and taking the time. Can do 'He's leaving Friday's in Portuguese but hard hard language to learn. I think Italian would be nice so Grazie mille....

@Layla Thank you. Let's celebrate with a couple of paracetamol and as we say over here in the UK 'A nice cup of tea'....

Good morning. Seems you and I are both full of p..s and vinegar this morning :heehee: Too bad you are across the pond, we could set up our recliners and do some panhandling with some creative street performances. I know you've got strings covered and I've got the woodwinds and brass. Who needs a 9-5 job?

Hope you're feeling at least a little better today.

Laughter is the best medicine! I'm cracking up over here too. We might have to stop before we get in trouble. We're all gonna get through this :console2:

@SwampHiker and Thing . Yep, have to stop, but really cannot stop laughing and got a few more verses. thank you or as we say in Spanish, Grazie Mille

Haven't laughed so much since before operation
Thanks for your writing cooperation
Lennon and McCartney we shall be
As long as we write bout toiletry
Its a song that has no end
And I've said sorry to LDM

I understand, the verses keep going and going and going. I wonder if we can get Weird Al to buy this hit off of us. Glad Thing and I could make you laugh today. De Nada.

Of course fiddle will help @SurreyGirl Most of the song is on @Ldm380 so feel free to add please. My rhyming has hit a slump, not sure what rhymes with dump, apart from rump...

We say "nice cup of tea" on this side of the pond also. At least my grandma did.
I thought you Brits said "a spot of tea"?
Hope you're having a nice day! Mine is just starting. A sunny one but only 21 chilly degrees right now.
Brrr!
@Jamesdean

Hi @Layla I think spot of tea 1930/40/50s or just films and tv along with peasouper fogs and clean your chimney guvnor? It just makes me laugh there is always someone to say have a nice cup of tea....alternative is a bad cup of tea????? I do not remember tea growing up in Santa Monica but do remember beach, hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, pancakes, waffles, sundaes and Skippy peanut butter, none of which we could get when we returned to England in 1964. And England only had two tv channels and only a few hours a day.....I only cried for 6 months though.....

"Nice"..because it's warm, comforting, delish...if you like tea. I'm not a fan but could be if I tried to find a tea I loved. Would have to be in a pretty tea cup too, like a Royal Doulton, makes it taste better  :heehee:

Two tv channels in 1964....that's crazy!
Hope your aches and discomfort is easing. Rest, ice, sip on some tea and watch tv on one of many channels you have access to these days.
Make it a good one!
@Jamesdean

Guten Morgen @Jamesdean
Ich hoffe, es geht dir und deiner Hüfte gut.
If you can read this, you are really fluent in German.
I like this idea of a good cup of tea. Whenever the English are under stress, they make tea, right?:rofsign:I wonder whether tea is a painkiller. If you have tea, you don't need tramadol, ibuprofen, diclofenac and all that other nasty medicine, right? No, I'm not serious. But I like tea, although it tastes much better when I'm in the UK. In Germany, I'm usually a coffee person.
And my husband likes breakfast. Three breakfasts a day keep the doctor away, or whatever the saying is.
...Okay, and what else rhymes with "dump"?
I went to a petrol (gas) station, but I thought:
This place is a dump.
They haven't even got a pump.

Ok. No more nonsense - I've got to work now. Have a great day
Constanze

Hope your night was more restful...I was a night stalker for many months.
I'm glad Jo said those darn tights were too tight. I thought such and think that may have also been alot to do with the bleed ...but I'm not a medical professional...just a concerned bonesmartie.
Hope today is a good day!

Hi @Constanze I hope you are well and your hip is good maybe? Waroom nicht? I have to say that when I was growing up we never touched any medication or tablets, we used Jewish penicillin, otherwise known as Chicken Soup which was a cure for everything. By the way, really like German carol at Christmas which they sing a lot in France, Stille Nacht Heilige Nacht. Do you do anything for St Nicholas day?

hi @Mojo333 and thanks for your message and concern. Feel better without stockings thats for sure. Pain in thigh still not nice but I guess there is a lot of self repair going on. Today has been bed rest, icing, elevation, quick trip up and down stairs to get the post [mail] which is 18 stairs down and strangely enough 18 stairs up. Now waiting for Christmas tree to be delivered, not real one, from a well known store in UK. I have gone for the easy way out, it comes pre-decorated with lights and assembled and under £20, must be top quality. In fact, Hark now I hear the deliverers ring....

There better be an even amount of stairs coming and going...no missing a step.

Glad to see you are getting in the Christmas spirit...I do love to look at a Christmas tree.
Now to find that old Chipmunks Christmas album (and a record player)

Hi @Mojo333

oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang, Basically the noises I am making when I get these twinges and pains.

Will be more in the Christmas spirit when I can start drinking my Henri Bardouin Pastis again

No place to go continued...

Hey JamesDean I hope you slept well
And that going #2 today wasn't h..l
Ecstatic to be rid of those thigh highs
Josephine said they were the wrong size
Can't wait to write more of this song
Before this new hip lets me get along.

Icing it up in my recliner
I'm usually not such a whiner
Being stuck in this house all day
Makes me feel old, cranky and gray
I dream of running like Forest Gump
But I can't get over this slump.
