That desk/table looks perfect. My lap table didn't work out so well either. Just never know until it's time to use it. Too much trouble and too hot!

I wouldn't sell my four cheap Walmart bed pillows for a million bucks, though. They have saved my life.

Happy Friday!

Updates:

1. You know that awkward 90 degree restriction conforming method of getting into a chair? One time yesterday I did it with he wrong leg - doh!

2. I took my bandage off yesterday and I'm just leaving it uncovered (OS doesn't care either way). I'm not draining at all anymore.

3. When I woke up this morning, I wanted to take a sharpie and circle the position I was in because I was perfectly comfortable.

4. My biggest challenge is my groin muscle. It was weak and tight to begin with. It's really taking a beating now when getting in and out of bed.

Hi @muckingabout, you should have got you hubby to take a photo! I'm sure he would have obliged. ...

I share your pain on the groin muscles but mine have over the last few weeks eased out. They were also incredibly tight. My PT also needled them in my last session to loosen them which was very painful. But actually appears to have worked. I think it's with time and movement they improve...

Oh, also I may have oversold my condition. A couple of my coworkers wanted me to go out to lunch next week. Um. No.

You know what's funny. I'm by myself all day, except when my daughter checks on me at lunch. No problem. I nap, I read, I putter. My husband mentioned the other day that the team he used to play volleyball with (and the scene of his tendon rupture)'has a late game tonight. I asked him if he was going and he said only if my daughter is home. I said I'm fine if they both go and he wouldn't hear of it. I'm not sure why I can't be left alone for a couple of hours after dark, but whatevs.

@muckingabout
You still sound like you are doing very well. Nice to hear it. I can relate to how you might have oversold things. As we feel good, we like others to know we are okay, but somehow it seems to be misinterpreted for a certain kind of green light. My wife posted a few photos of me smiling and happy, while true, it gives off an overly fluffy impression of the overall process. The rebel in me makes me email photos to people of when I looked liked I was just run over by a truck ...just to keep the balance.

Totally agree. I AM doing well, too, but far from normal. My housekeeper asked me to join her for lunch one day next week..and while it was the sweetest invitation, I'm thinking, well ok, pick up some salads and come to my house!! Not at all ready to get out and social again.

Well that was interesting. The dog just barfed and I essentially leapt out of my chair, grabbed my walker and pretty much ran to let him out. When I realized what I had done, I stood for a minute and took inventory to see if I had done any damage. Eep!

Oh my! Hope dog and THR are ok!!

Damage highly unlikely. Just scares the stuffing out of you momentarily. Did much the same myself during recovery.

Dog's fine and all my parts seem to be in their correct location. No odd or new aches. And I just went for a walk outside without ill effect.

So I snuck off and weighed. Myself this morning. It's really hard to sneak in a walker, but I know my husband would think I was crazy. I'm up about 5 pounds which is fine for now. I just had no sense of whether I was up, down or the same because I haven't been wearing any clothes I could gauge by. I haven't had much appetite, so I'm not eating that much, but people have been bringing a lot of treats. I still have quite a lot of swelling, so there's that too.

Know what you mean. I don't think I've gained any weight even with little appetite and I have been eating more sweets than usual. We don't have scales at this house so no way to check. I'm not worried and you shouldn't be either. With all we're dealing with, why add something else to fret over??

I was hoping for magical effortless weightloss. :)

I've got something new going on. My upper operative thigh is cramping/spasming. I'm using those words, but it's not unpleasant. If feels like when you intentionally tighten a muscle, but it's involuntary. Anyone experience anything like that? I'd like to think its a healing process.
