Happy birthday @Mayhip8 and to your daughter too! Mwah mwah as @Calgal said, we must get in to the LA spirit. Is Hollywood classy or just touristy? I've seen lots in Beverley hills or Calabasas so we could stop by those glam areas if we are in the vicinity!! Oh and a nice rose (please add the accent over the yourselves!) with salad and sushi!
It sounds like your doing a good job balancing everything @Mayhip8 , as does @ahipgma with hip no 2 and little Ari!
Enjoy what has turned in to a sunny Sunday here ladies whatever you may be doing. I need to get some lessons planned (well updated really) so I may pop back later. Hugs and mwah mwah my lovelies

Yes, please! We should travel in sport luxe, with plenty of bling in our Louis Vuitton luggage. @Mayhip8 we will have to tie the hands of our shopaholics @ahipgma and @ChrissyW when we hit Rodeo (stress on the 'de' as in 'day') Drive! We must be the sensible ones. There is more to LA than bling but ... Only for the brave! I must take you all to Tommy's drive in (in a questionable part of town) for a famous Tommy burger - a chili burger that you have to eat standing up and leaning forward so as not to drip all over yourself! It's packed at 2am with all sorts of folks after nights out. If our tummies survive that we can go to Olivera street which is like going to Mexico. We can get awesome burritos there and shake our maracas!! Oh my I'm salivating already. And we haven't even touched the posh stuff in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. :cheers2:
 
Sounds wonderful. I always love to see those vintage gowns some wear at the academy awards and I am a vintage perfume wearer, but I suppose for just tooling around eating at those yummy sounding restaurants I will wear something Versace and red( especially in case of dripping chili:heehee:)
Well @ChrissyW if you've willing i want to hit either Van Cleef and Arpels or Harry Winston for some jewelry or a watch, and I'm sure they have leather goods stores, I would like a new winter bag!!
Should we hire a chauffeur or tool around ourselves in some posh car?

Hip hip Friday!!! So just in time for our trip to la la land. I'm really pleased for you but understand your trepidation, I expect @ahipgma can really relate to what you must be feeling. Imagine how wonderful all our trips will be when we have 6 bionic parts between the four of us! @Calgal the burger sounds good, it would be the first meat based burger I've had in years but the way you describe it makes me drool! @ahipgma im with you looking for a new handbag. I'd love a birkin but I know the wait list is long although I'm sure if we name drop in some of those stores they'll have one for me! I definetly think we need to teach @Mayhip8 and @Calgal how to shop like us professionals! Epic times ladies and however we travel I think we need an open top so we can feel the wind in our hair and let everyone know the hipster sisters are in town!
 
I forget which of you watched sex and the city but there was an episode on Samantha lying and cheating to get a Birkin bag :heehee:. I could forgo it, theres are probably lots of wonderful things to buy there. We better get ready to set of the airport x ray machines again. They'll really alarm for me....

I picked up a few tips from last time we splashed the cash - I think this time I want to buy a luxurious pair of silk pyjamas to lounge around in whilst recovering. And maybe a cashmere shrug to snuggle into as evenings draw in :) :-) (:
Will we take in a show or visit studios whilst we are there?
I see there are a lot of staircases? And art galleries.. Where shall we start?
Let's hire a chauffeur to kick off the weekend?

I Have a few things planned for today, physio for my shoulder this morning Followed by a pampering pedicure this afternoon.
And then I'm going to visit my friend and eat cake !!!

My children won't be home from school until late this afternoon and I was hoping to go out for an autumn walk however The weather is back to epic rainfall so I will forego my woodland walk as I don't want to slip!
I'm going to check my stuff and buy the last few things to put in my hospital bag, mints, hand gel, tissues, essential oil roller and spray.
It feels kind of weird waiting again ! I keep thinking about Friday and then tell myself everything will be fine and " this time next week" But I accept it's normal to have a few wobbly moments I just need to think that "this too shall pass"

Unfortunately I've not been able to work this week as I overdid the activities at the weekend and( mainly because of my shoulder) needed to go back on codeine and diazepam for the spasm in my right hip. This doesn't make for good clinical decision-making. So I had a quiet day at home yesterday, it was my wedding anniversary 15 years married! Can't believe how quickly that's flown !

@ChrissyW I hope things are not too full on in your job although I suspect it's pretty hectic!
@ahipgma you're on week three today aren't you? Does it feel as if the time has flown does it feel very different from last times recovery?
@Calgal Can you feel much difference after doing Pilates excercise yet ?
