Good luck!!! Will be waiting to hear from you!

Hi, I'm so happy to have found this forum. I first came to it a few months ago and by seeing the scars it completely waylaid a lot of fear I was having about my upcoming hip replacement...coming up on May 11! Hello everybody, and fellow Mayster Marvelettes!

All the best danni. Can't wait to hear from you on the other side.

PenGen - welcome to BoneSmart. So glad you found us only days before your big day. Hope you have had time to read in the Library. Please do post any questions - we're here to help!

Hi, PenGen....welcome! You might want to start a separate thread of your own and tell us a little more about yourself. We love getting to know our members.

I'm home and all has gone well! I will write a full report on the other side!! Thanks everyone for the support!

Hi, I got my pre op for the 17th. Now I am getting exited. Did some retail therapy, mainly toiletries, more grabbers, ice packs, etc. Had my hair cut short. I mentioned in some other post I had a lose front tooth this morning, now it fell out, very attractive:hysterical:. It will get cemented in tomorrow. Still have to get my winter tires off, do major cleaning etc. etc.

RTHR and removal of arthrofibrotic capsule tomorrow - yippee!

See you on the other side!

:biggrin::snork::biggrin:

:rolleyespink:

Good Luck Rayray and everyone else having surgery this week! I'm 5 days post op and had my first shower this morning and feeling pretty darn good!

Rayray and PenGen - all the best tomorrow. Your BoneSmart family will be here waiting for your first checkin.

See you on the other side! :dancy:

WOW five days and counting for my THR I'm reall looking forward to getting this done and going back to work. Isn't it funny how when you work you wish you could be hanging out at home and do nothing. Then your doing that and all you want to do is go back to work????????

Hello All. I'm on the other side now and so far so good. No issues, no pain. I'm totally weight bearing and waking well with a cane. I can stand and even walk short distances without the cane. I will start a new thread in the recovery area with more detail but wanted to post a quick update and lend support to the rest of the May Marvelettes! Jenny

Wow Jenny that is amazing!! I thought I was doing good in 2 week period with mine. I can't believe you can walk short distance without any aides. If I try that I have too much of a limp so my PT said not to. I walk great with cane and total weight bearing as well. Best of luck and keep it up. Looking forward to hearing you new posts.

You are all so awesome! Congrats to all of you who had their surgeries. It would seem that everyone has come through just fine!
This is so encouraging for the people who have yet to dive in during the rest of May, thanks for posting.
Counting down to May 26th!

Love to all!
JS

I was originally scheduled for my LTHR on March 31st, then April 14th and June 9th. My doctor saw an opening in the surgical scheduling at the hospital and has moved me up to May 27th!!!!! This forum has been so helpful to me. It is awesome to read about everyone's experiences and it helps to take alot of the anxiety away. I am so looking forward to being on the other side!

Hi Terry, great you joined the May Marvelettes! I am looking forward to hearing more about you. Please do keep posting. It does help with the pre-op jitters!
