I sent her an email. I kno she can get them on her blackberry. I'm thinking it might be because of the non-stop diahrrea. She wan't even able to make it to the bathroom, both in the hospiatl and when she got home. And throwing as well.

She just called. Fever, UTI, and non stop diahrrea! Had to go to hospital because of the fever. On Cipro now. Hasn't slept in three days. Pain is still bad she said, but I don't think it is bothering her as much by the sounds of her voice.
Gee, poor kid. She's got to catch a break soon. She wanted me to pass this on to all of you and to thank you, again, for all your concern and good wishes.
I'll keep letting you know. I was only able to talk with her for literally a minute....

Janet, please tell Linda we are all rooting for her. I have been so worried all day! So glad she is at least getting the treatment she needs. Fingers crossed things calm down for her.

I forgot to mention that she was home. She couldn't talk, but I'm assuming they gave her something for the non stop "going". She didn't say. She was put on the Cipro for the UTI/fever, that was all she said.
I will keep updating as I hear. Thanks everyone...I will keep realying the messages to her as well..

I hope the Cipro gets that UTI under control quickly. No wonder she felt so ill.
And the diarrhea. Surely they gave her something for that...
Did Linda choose to go back home after her emergency room visit, Janet?
Because perhaps she would be better off in hospital for a couple of days right now. At least until they check that she's getting the right antibiotics for the UTI.
Send her my very best wishes and I hope she's feeling much, much better soon.

I'm off to the foot doctor but I haven't heard from her yet today, and I hesitate to call in case she is FINALLY sleeping. I will email her when I return if I still haven't heard.

I spoke to her about 7am her local time and she hadn't slept again :( she was feeling pretty lousy we only chatted by Facebook chat and she said she felt rough bless her xxx

I did hear back from her briefly. She said today was a bad one in a lot of ways, but didn't say why as she was going to try to sleep. From the sounds of it she still hasn't slept.
Tomorrow is her "40th" birthday, so hoping things start to turn around for her. Hang in there sweetie, it will get better...:prayer1:

Good Morning all! And, I think it finally is, for Linda. She called ma about an hour ago and sounded sooooooo much better. Of course, she is still taking a large amount of medication.
She was able to move her appointment for Friday up to today at her pain clinic, so she was using a higher amount of pain meds than what the hospital sent her home with.
In any event, the new pain clinic seems to be more in tune with her problem of pain meds not working on her than the hospital and OS. Thank goodness.
All in all she sounds good, at least so much better. Things are improving with the "bug" and UTI so fingers crossed she's on the mend.
I may not hear any more from her today as her appointment is at 3:30 this afternoon, and I have three appointments myself!
