@SuperSnapper aye people say that about me..... Zaubes ouch I had similar with a young person, it was deff diversionary tactics as i wrapped his wrist up in a towel and we waited for ambulance.
It would be interesting to see how often we come close to a major injury. I am amazed at how often I bang my foot in normal movement, previous to this #CRPS I took no real notice, now each wee knock is highlighted.

@Legin ask your therapist person to let you draw eyes on your foot, the one that gets mirrored-- your brain will learn to use the toes to see where they're going!

@Legin - I admire your ability to clear your mind and control your focus. The mind is amazing and I'm sure in time that you'll make it work, just with the determination of your personality! Looking forward to reading about the next path your therapist takes you on. Take care.

Omg the therapist commented on my ability to clear the mind and relax. I told her so being a person of few thoughts does that make me susceptible to hypnosis.
#CRPS
Went to my special PT session. Gold star for work I had done and notes I had made.
As I was able to do the staring into mirror next stage.
She asked me to do a foot raise with heel grounded. It was very perceptible of a slant with numbed toes slanting down and as she put it the face of pain.
I then stared at the reflected image of the good foot then did twenty foot raises heel grounded, I naturally did the breathing.
She then asked me to donsame again with bad foot. No slant down and less pain........
Whooooot whooooooot. Apparently my face was something......
She did say this is only temporary but once I have practised loads at home we can go onto next stage.
Told her I had a wee job so I have to do the new mirror exercise after work and notate again to see if any difference.
On journey home the poor wifff said you are wiped out. I was too emotion sure takes a toll on energy.
Citizen Advise Training, CAB, today walks and bus journeys but soooo looking forward, this silly old chap is of some use again, whoooot

Amazing report! :egypdance: How wonderful that you are able to do the "exercises" that she gives you so well. Hopefully, in the not too far future, CRPS will be a thing of the past for you. I can see that it would be very draining on you - your wifff knows you - she's a keeper!

Ty, its wee steps but it is such a good feeling to actually feel I'm going forward finally after some setbacks. Aye re wiffff, a dozen years ago I said never ever again re this long relationship and marriage malarkey. Hmmmmm must check to see if she has hypnosis as a skill. Chortle

Great news that you are going forwards and you are seeing some benefit from the exercises.

@levin you da MAAANNN!!!
Lol apparently you are also Jewish, let's try that again @Legin
What a great report, I am a little misty over here! It sounds like your PT is one of those marvels we come across now and then, so with you and wifff also being marvels, we are about to step into superhero territory!!

Great to read your post @Legin - all weird and wonderful! Look forward to hearing about your next jaunt into the unknown.

Confudled, jewish!?!??!
Had the walk, bus, walk to Perth for CAB training, I have always enjoyed training, both as trainee, and trainer. So good to be doing what I like can't wait to get into the classrooms. One point of note is this presentation/activity is now actually on the school cericulums, nae pressure there then.oh really wiped out and sore when I got home, but did I care, nope.

Hi @Legin
So glad you were tired for the right reason i.e. you were doing something that you wanted to.

I remember when I realised that my then 15 yrs old son was doing subjects or topics at school that i knew nothing about. It's great but makes you feel old. So schools are sharing CAB type information as part of the lessons? How things have changed.

I admire you "pushing through the pain of walking". I can't do that at the moment as I was told that my big toe bone was not connected to anything and the operation 2 weeks ago was amongst other things to join it up!! I can really see how the brain connects with pain. Just writing this paragraph a "ZAP" went through my big toe up to my ankle, which it had not done for about 12 hours...... Keep us posted!

Hi @Legin - sound good that you will schedule to have your left hip done. This operation, i.e. fixing your other hip, may indeed alleviate your CRPS - although there's no scientific proof. I can speak for my own experience. I think I've had problems with my hip for decades and was stiff in all parts of my body, and now that the hip is fixed, I seem to have more flexibility even in my other (non operated leg) and other parts of the body. Now while there is no scientific evidence for this, it may be in the head. Another explanation is that if you have one bad part of the body you can't use properly, the others are used to compensate. I don't have to compensate any longer so the other parts of the body are now stress-free and function better. Why shouln't you have this experience - I wish for you so very much that it will happen. Also - it's nice to hear you'r working again. Keep up the good work and your phantastic sense of humour, too, which you managed to keep even though you had it so hard. Best wishes - Constanze

@Legin I had typo-ed your tag as "Levin" Only Levins I know are Jewish

I just swopped Levin around Nivel, sounds like a character in a shakespear tragedy.
#CRPS I have the mirror propped against wee dividing bit in lounge and dining and its amazing how many times I stop and stick my foot out and waggle it, well not quite but I do move it. The idea now is just get very used to seeing the mirror imaged foot move. Had some swing music on and the.wee.movements got bigger just got lost in movement. I was looking but didn't think about it just as we would do when tapping foot to music. I'm definitely singing me and my mirror, boppin down the avenue...

A good rhythm always makes things better ;-) That's one of the things I like about my aquafit classes - I forget about my knees while I get into the beat. You go Nivel, Levin, or Legin - whichever personality wants to move to the beat in front of the mirror. OK - I've had too much wine tonight, best head for bed!

Chortle, I'm like that all the time after H2O

Legin THR Sep 14

@Legin Glad you got to the training ok and survived it all. I bet you found it really interesting. I worked as a volunteer for CAB for several years and found it rewarding and it also really helped getting another job later on in advice work in housing for our local council although I didn't start out with that intention. Well done you and in helping others you are moving on yourself.

On another note ( your swing music brought it to mind) we went to see a show last night. https://www.johnnycashroadshow.com We went cos the lead singer was at school with my kids. It was great - if you like Johnny Cash and we had a good night, everyone up on their feet clapping and dancing at the end. Good fun!

So the mirror image you watched as you waggled was the crps foot? And in the original mirror exercise you were watching the non-crps foot, right? I am just trying to follow along here
Heh. Nivel.. It all depends on how you say it, I think. Long or short "i". I think it sounds more comic, could be one of that trio of vultures in some animated movie from 20+ years ago, the comic relief cameo parts. Now I will have to track down just which movie I mean.
