Left hip needs done, have to settle CRPS first

Hi @Legin , I haven't read your updates for a while and just thought I'd send you some best wishes. You have a lot of endurance and discipline. I'm sure CRPS isn't fun. May I remind you that 3000 m is a fair distance to walk - respect. Even some perfectly healthy people don't walk that far. My husband and my daughter's boyfriend were joking - if there's an Ironman there must also be something for the lazy like ledman or aluman - they said yes aluman means you just walk to your car 100 m down the drive, you cycle round the block - and you swim under the shower. But I must stop being silly. I wish you all the best and let us know when you have surgery on your other hip - maybe that would help the CRPS subside.

Thanks lass. I have always been v active played rugby till age 39, squash till 51. But what I miss most is going up my hills, nothing beats it, megga cardio as it is straight up and good for the soul. Glorious views and air that's invigorating. I could possibly get up but the decent would be v v quick. I'm determined to build up my stamina and learn better and better ways to box away the pain.

@Legin . That's lovely, walking in the hills. Did you walk in the Highlands? My parents used to walk there. They were great fans of Scotland - only my Mum is alive now and over 80. If you build up stamina, you wil one of these days be able to walk in the hills again.
BTW you must have very good stamina already since you cook for your large family.
My mega mega cardio is my running in the forest. Without it, I'm afraid that I might get fat and unfit. Hugs - Constanze

My hill is but a km away nearly 300m straight up then a mile or so away is the Ochills, rising to over 1000m. I love Burnham 30 miles away its the gate to the highlands and site of that wee play Macbeth.

Oh @SarahJane thank you but I wane in the strength and advancement you have made. Oh BTW did the walk back from work with (drum roll), no breaks, no pit stops, no moments of nostalgia, and no moments of conversation with people I know. Whoot whoot.

Wow @Legin - Your "Macbeth" hill sounds good. Hope you'll get the chance to go up there again! Have a nice weekend - Hugs - Constasnze

Aww ty the pic shows my loch and hill. This weekend is Mary Queen of Scots day as she was held prisoner on the island in the loch. Have a superb weekend yourself @Constanze

I like the picture of the lake. It's impressive. Have a lovely weekend, too with your family.

Wow, a Queen Mary festival. You're an asset to the Kinross tourism bureau. I'm inspired to renew my passport (sadly expired, since I haven't been traveling much recently). The historical re-enactments here don't have falconry, or the four Marys.

I love history and take my self back to periods past, well I imagine so. I'm lucky as we have from Pictish stones to battlefields that are so famous to what I call preserved normal life in history all within an hour from me. Even down to Mary Queen of Scots outside privy, and then annold graveyard which had pirates buried aye they have skull and crossbones on ggrave stone.
OK re condition, energy drain alert. Muscles are still stuck in the past I think. Got up and had to have a suger boost. Just shows you that these old muscles do still talk to me and give me the wagging finger of critical realism. Work today and a wee trip to shops dogs food is low.

I suppose, if you hadn't sworn off swearing, that you could give the finger to that wagging finger. Critical realism, smitical smealism.

Chortle don't worry I can pull many a face and do, never play poker me as face is like a monitor showing how I feel.

I had to start watching my earthy anglo-saxon vocabulary at the workplace to keep from offending some religious people.

I actually found that I made more of an impact by using a broader and more expressive range of vocabulary words.

People these days are so attenuated to use of swear words that they are loosing their impact. But just try saying "Gee whiz, this is so disappointing," or "I am absolutely having conniptions."

Yup I so agree, I had a bully boss didn't bully me but he did the younger. He looked stumped when I stated he was a glutinous maximass orriface. Sorry for language BTW

Oh wow, I'm not alone! The ability to utilise language to communicate thoughts, feelings, ideas and ( the most fun ) insults without resort to gutter, crude and expletive phrases is a real gift that I believe all should strive to learn. I feel the urge to make conniption my word of the day soon, that really made me smile, I haven't seen it used properly for a long time.

My sincere respect to anyone who strives to revitalise true communication and language skills.

I haven't sworn since I was 14, (long story). I have worked with troubled teens most of my life and language was always colourful shall we say. Always funny when they would come out with my alternative words. I even did an assembly on the topic with errrrr startling results.
A few days off but after its hectic with work, CAB, and Drs yup blisters are back. So I'm going to try to just take it easy as foot is speaking as well as other hip. That hip is developing the barometer phase in that seems worse before bad weather.
