Hi @lavender. Try googling "Celebrex coupon". A lot of drug manufacturers are offering discounts and great savings now even if you have insurance. Your doctor or pharmacist may also be aware or have coupons. I recently was prescribed amrix which is a muscle relaxer. My copayment was $70 but my doctor gave me a coupon which I can use again and again and I only paid $5.00. I check every medication I take that there is no generic for and there is a lot of savings out there.

I love your story about the geese in the park! I think we can learn a lot from them!

Take care!!

Hi @Jozilla Thanks so much for the information and I am going to talk to my doctor next week at my appointment about finding a way to get a discount on this prescription. Thought I could manage have not had any serious pain so thought it was ok. I guess the Celebrex as the reason it was ot swelling or hurting. I love the geese they are really cute. They are also pretty smart the river in our park is quite wide and the edges af it have a cement sidewalk running beside it.

They tried yesterday so hard to come swimming fast towards it and kind of jump up a few made it but some had trouble so they decided to swim up to the edge of the falls and climb up on the last fall area and walk out so smart. They are probably ranging from a few days now to a week funny to watch not afraid they come right up to where we are sitting. Kept feeding a tiny one and realized a little one was under the bench and kept popping out and catching the bread first. Funny to watch them a little wobbly and soon all fall asleep. It is true we can learn a lot from the way they care for their young. Have a wonderful weekend Holly

Yesterday in our beautiful park we spotted a different type of duck. First glance thought it was a female mallard not too many visible at this time they must be hatching their eggs but so pretty. I looked it up in our wildlife guide book and found her to be a female Mersanger.

Really nice long narrow beak with a comb like tuft on the bak of her head white chest white a brownish red mark and body much like a female Mallard. I am not sure how she got there never seen her before but funny if you just take a moment how many things you see. With the nice weather here so many new visitors to our park. Met nice young man and woman yesterday they were thrilled to see the babies and ducks and geese and my husband took their picture for them. We enjoyed showing them the little ones and they loved the park think they may have been on their honeymoon.

This weekend at the far end of the park they are having a Multicultural event usually held in our downtown area but so much more room in the park and places to park . Sitting in our park it feels like the Canadian North so many beautiful trees all different kinds tall and shady. Trees planted dedicated to people who families are honouring and some of the benches are dedicated to. This is something that we think we might do one day a memoriy tree or bench that has a little plaque that says you were here. My Gram planted a tree over thirty years ago for my Gramp and her name is one the plaque with him sitting on the other side of the river has grown over the years an oak tree tall and straight and strong. They have a train for families to ride antique scaled to size waist high. Also a vintage merry go round with the antique style horses old and open on weekends memories of riding these when I was small.

We got engaged on this park go there when we need to think makes things seem so much more in focus when they don't seem to be. Love this park so much room for kids to run so nice for people to walk their dogs and yes of course our beautiful water friends the ducks geese and seagulls even a turtle last summer old large. Off to do some stuff have our breakfast and then to take in the beauty and relaxation that our park brings us wonder what we will see today. Making the most of the summer and fall months missed the time during the winter so happy to be able to drive this time waited a little longer due to surgery last year but so excited sometimes the little things mean so much costs nothing and you always leave with a bit of something as simple as just enjoyment of feeling so alive. Holly

Today had my first bloodtest since insulin and hoping it turns out like my readings have. Beautiful day here today and so warm 27 degrees celcius but not humid as it has been for a few days. So many mosquitos this year unbelievable seem to almost swarm . Can't handle anymore bites so we purchased a item that is supposed to help and it did.

It is made by Off and has a little fan and hangs on your belt or pocket. Went to the park and saw a few mosquitos hanging around today but no bites and they did not come close. A lady we see in the park somedays when walking commented how she noticed our little repellent things and said her yard if full of mosquitos nice purchase she said she was going to pick one up on her way home.

Finally something that keeps mosquitos away. Legs are still very sore so went for a slow walk and took breaks enjoyed the sun and shade and the time spent with the little ducks and geese. Going to see my doctor next week and talk about what is making my legs sore has been a while since the pain so maybe it is missing the celebrex Left knee I was hoping to leave for now but wondering if it will need the surgery sooner then hoped. Having a great summer and hope you are to. Holly

I was thinking maybe time to change my thread title this one is no longer apppropriate . Wondering if someone could change it to Waiting to see about my left knee. If anyone is reading this this change would be appreciated Thanks Holly

Hi Holly,
Sorry to hear the other one needs to be done. Let me tag a moderator to change your title to

Waiting to see about my left knee
@skigirl

I love Merganser ducks. They all quite a sight with the little duckling following all in a row, and the way they float lower in the water than other ducks is a beautiful sight.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and keep us posted how you are doing.

Hi @Pumpkin and thanks for your help. I was not sure if I should tag someone for this but thanks very much. How are you doing is your knee doing ok. I hope you are having nice weather we are yesterday was quite cool almost like fall but the hot weather is back today nice to have it for Fathers day. Going to have a nice walk and then later out for dinner for Fathers day for my husband.
My left knee has handled all of this very well it was not as sore as my right but always felt more creaky. Now hoping it does not need done soon as this was originally what my doctor wanted to do first the worst knee my right and then when it was stronger my left. I have managed pretty good but now both sore so not sure why need my husband to help support me when walking no sure why it has become this way. Oh well at least my right replaced knee is doing pretty good. Happy that I was fortunate enough to have the option of having it replaced. Baby geese are really growing and some are almost looking like adults they grow so fast. Hoping you have a wonderful weekend and nice to hear from you. Holly

@lavender I mostly tag someone when i want to be sure that they read my post. I do get a notice of replies on threads on which I have posted. But, if you have a specific question, I always tag so that the person sees it. You are very welcome.

Sitting in the park after our walk we were pleased to have a good friend of ours join us on the bench she is someone we think highly of and worked with so many years ago she will be 84 this year brings back so many nice memories.
They were nice people and at this time we (my husband and I) were the younger employees many of these people were raising kids and started working to help pay for their educations or just to help make ends meet. They treated us both with respect and kindness and we worked hard but the enviroment was very family oriented.
My Mom was very impressed on how much they cared so many got together 33 years ago about this time of the year and held a wedding shower for us. People we worked with friends that was a really nice time looking back.
Our Wedding anniversary will be on July 4th and it will mark 33 years married for us. Our friend could not believe how many years passed and she said it seems like just the other day the news of our engagement was announced and so many who were happy for us we worked in the same store. Times were a little different life seemed to move a little slower.

Happy we took the pathway we took instead of staying on the grass maybe if we hadn't we would have missed out on seeing her.
We have met others in our beautiful park and have the chance to sit and chat and look back at the memories and share the new memories that we have made since we worked together. Sometimes people that you do not see all the time feel like you have never had any time away and those friends are friends no matter how often love to see them. Such a nice day. Holly

What a wonderful chance meeting, to spend an afternoon visiting with old friends is a gift.
Thanks for sharing.
Hope you have a good week.

Visit with my doctor today and results were positive . I told him that the surgeon that did my replacement surgery has asked the my doctor and I decide when the time for my left knee. He said it is my decisiion knows it is sore and will help with the process when enough is enough hoping it won't be yet but might be sooner then I had hoped. He was pleased with my insulin progress and although not at target yet he is happy with how far it has come. He mentioned that I was now eligible to have the pnemonia vaccine so nurse gave me a shot today. Happy to see his nurse she is so caring and very kind. Well visit to diabetic clinic nurse next week and that is it for now. Happy to get it taken care of.

Legs both still sore but not as painful today think as my doctor said it will take time to feel the effects after restarting celebrex looking forward to the longer walks in park and not having to depend on my kind husbands arm to hang onto. I am hoping to wait till next spring till surgery request but not in a hurry if can get the discomfort under control. Happy Monday to all and may your week be great. Holly

Hi and such a beautiful day here. Yesterday we had a weather forcast warning of thunderstorms but rain held off till bedtime sky was so blue and clear. We wondered why but yesterday it seemed like there was a convoy of strollers so many then more appreared and more wondered why so busy and then noticed all of the little ones walking and tiny ones in strollers had some sort of teddy bear with them.

Probably well over a 150 kids and maybe 60 strollers and then the music started playing in one of the pavillion shelters .Lots of bubbles coming from a large bubble machine appeared over the direction where the music was coming from and kids cheering and laughing. I asked a women who was passing by heading in the direction of the music pushing her little baby in a stroller what was happening and she told us it was the day of the Teddy Bears Picnic.

So cute so many little ones and the person in charge was a kids entertainer so much fun and they seemed to be having a great time. Singing songs little kids dancing to the childrens songs being played. So much for them to remember and so nice to see them being given such a wonderful thing to be part of. I remember years ago when the picnic was held at a historical home in our city not so much ground around it as the park. So many little kids this year and babies and the population of our city will surely climb this year. The amount of kids attending has grown from the time that my niece was little and had her picture put in our city newspaper when she was attending this fun event. There is even a little place where minor repairs are made to bears that may have a little tear or missing eye and a special day for all. Nice to see little ones made to feel special Holly

Glad you are going to be able to decide when to have knee #2 done, hope you are able to buy some times with the anti inflammatories.
The Teddy Bears Picnic sounds like great fun for the kids, fun to see them in their strollers. Wish we could be patched up as easily as those teddy bears.

Hi @Pumpkln Yes it would sure be nice if we could be patched up this way just a little fixup here and on your way. Hopefully pain free. The park we love to go to is usually scattered with a few people through the weekdays so over the past two weeks we have been wondering where all the people came from. Our schools are still open for a week more till summer holidays so wondering where the kids came from. Think maybe classrooms are being held outside nice to see them get a chance to be out in the beautiful weather. My legs are a little less sore now so think it would be great if I could wait till at least next spring to do my left knee. Hoping for the best and feeling lucky to have time to enjoy the summer before this happens. How are you doing. Hope everything is going great for you. Wishing you a great week Holly

What a cute idea-teddy bear picnic.

Hit @kneeper It was really cute seeing all of the little ones walking with their teddybears some tiny children almost the same size as their little bears. They were given treats and the had their lunch and then probably home for a big sleep. It lasted maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Can' t believe how little under five years kids are popping up so many tiny babies and expectant mothers. Nice to see we love watching them. We saw the pictures and a write up in our newspaper that night and am sure that they had a wonderful time. Memories that are nice to have. Holly:loveshwr:

Today we went for a nice walk in our park. I am not moving as fast as maybe before and that was not fast but trying to take time to enjoy the weather. Nice to have the benches and take frequent little rests but managing ok. We have been watching the little geese they are still pretty small but some have started to change so much.
Three tiny ones still have their baby yellow feathers but others are getting their adult feather a little at a time. One tiny one the smallest still looks like a little easter chick and although she is very small she still tries to do what everyone else does so cute to watch. A little while eating what we bring them then the tiny one drops down and off to sleep. Hoping she makes it ok she is trying so hard. Enjoying not getting bit by the mosquitos can't believe how well the Off devices are working. Well weather is supposed to be nice chance of raqin this weekend but still so nice after the long cold winter. Happy weekend Holly
