Wow - so glad you finally got some attention Natalie. Your GP office sounds really horrid. Time for a change.

Blinking heck Natalie! Thought I'd had a stressful week til I read your posts! Whatever happens for your friends, just make sure you relax and thoroughly enjoy your weekend away! I was told to take pain meds regularly as its easier to control the pain than trying to stop it when it gets bad. I think it builds up in your system so you are maintaining the pain relief. Apparently our pain threshold is lower at night so it also helps that. Xx
 
That makes sense Dawn I only ever take the Oramorph when I'm in pain never thought to take it before as I have my pain patches on constantly but I'm going to give it a go and take at regular times.

My friends have just rang they got a YES!!!!!!So happy for them I cannot wait to celebrate with them :)
 
Definately take the oramorph. It just doesn't make sense to be in pain...(as I lay here on my couch, in pain....DUH)

It's been an odd day!

It's my daughters 14th on Monday and she is with her dad all weekend and as I'm away I knew I had to pluck up the courage to go out and get her cards etc so we went to a local centre and I walked around 1 shop and sat in tears on a chair!So we went for lunch and some Oramorph and battled through!

This evening we had a few family members round to bring Lucia her presents so it's been go all day so finally resting with ice and in a lot of pain but I least I know now that I really do need to use the wheelchair!!

Sorry Jaycey I went on a bit there!Thanks for asking :) Hope you're well and I can't wait for the weekend :)
 
Use whatever aid you need to make this weekend one for you Natalie. Sounds like you have a lot to celebrate with your friend's news! Please enjoy. You deserve a bit of TLC!

Then I get to spend Monday with my beautiful daughter on her birthday as they have finished for Easter now :)

I've had an amazing weekend but wow the pain is bad today :( I've had a lot of pain all weekend but the heat and hot water from the spa has helped.Its our final morning and I've been awake in pain a lot of the night.We went swimming yesterday and I had been going swimming regularly since about October and I enjoed it so much I didn't use my bad leg to swim jug left it hanging behind me as unusually do but OMG it was so sore and knocked me sick I kept feeling it clunk and almost felt like it was falling out of place!such a weird and horrible thing and it scared the life of me!

It is ok when the brace is on I only feel it a few times but because it was off in the pool it was very unstable I know for sure now it's loose.

So only 3 days to go!

Back to earth with a bump after a wonderful weekend.

I cannot believe the pain I am in it has been increasing over the weekend and by the time I got home it was burning so much and I had to change my fentanyl patch 24 hours early and take more oramorph than usual.

I have had ice it on it too but the pain isn't easing at all :( Roll on Wednesday.
 
I hope your pain settles down Natalie and you get some sleep tonight. Enjoy your day with your daughter tomorrow :thumb:
 
I feel shaky and very very sore today it's not a good feeling.My daughter is having a great day so far :)

My husbands mum has been taken poorly but she lives a 10 hour drive away so his sister has gone on the train to look after her and we are to look after her children for a few days hubby is at work so it's left to me I'm really not up to it at all but I've no choice.I will be a right mess by the time Wednesdays appointment comes round.

I am so sorry that all of this is happening to you! You are one terrific young woman and it hurts me to see you in so much pain!
I hope your appointment leads to some resolution on Wednesday!
