THR Hippity Doo Dah!<

What a wonderful day you had. It's so nice to feel good and get out amongst the living again.
I've never tried Vietnamese. Always want to though.
I hope you slept well last night and have a good day today.
Happy Friday :)
@Carriemay60

Woke yesterday with a bit of sore throat and just felt a bit unwell all day. All I wanted to do was lay in bed and sleep, which I did. Through the night last night, my throat got worse disturbing my sleep to swallow, ear pain, headache and some zaps and zingers in the incision area just to put me fully over the edge! I kept thinking about @JennyLynne 's Sleepnumber bed. :sleeep: Certainly hoping this doesn't last long or get any worse.

Will play the day by ear. I want to go the grocery store with my husband to do Easter dinner shopping (they have mobility scooters) but a nap may or may not win out. So rainy and windy here which I find kind of sad for Easter weekend. Glad I haven't made myself a paper bonnet! :heehee:

Take care of yourself!!! Don’t need to get sick on top of this... drink some tea, suck on some lozenges.. maybe a vitamin c pack? Thinking healthy thoughts for you!!

How unfair to get a sore throat now. I hope it clears up soon. Take it easy and nap for Canada. The weather is telling you to stay in bed.

Paper bonnets, is that a thing?!

Max, my borrowed doggie, gave me a lovely straw Easter bunny bearing a tiny pot plant. He is a very thoughtful dog, to give me a gift at all, plus the easy thing is to give chocolate but I try not to overindulge (and it has to be the good dark stuff when I do indulge). I suspect his owner helped him choose.

I was thinking hot toddy?

When I was a young school kid, everyone used to make Easter bonnets using a paper plate or something similar as a base and then decorate it with all kinds of gaudy decorations. Then there would be a Easter bonnet parade in the gymnasium and prizes of cakes could be won. LOL

@SE Florida Peter was just out on some errands and has determined it too windy for me to go out so I am going to have to trust him to obey the list. He and Awstin will do the cooking tomorrow so not doing the huge holiday meal I would normally. Just going to BBQ some lamb loin chops, roasty potatoes and a few nice veggies. Will just be the three of us as all the kids live so far away. I've gotten used to that but I sure miss them. What are your plans?

I did the same!! Only it was in kindergarten for May Day and we marched
around the May pole...whatever that is  A pole with streamers we grabbed onto :what:
On the walk home from school there was a girl marching down the street, happy as can be, wearing my paper plate hat!:yikes: She stole it! Scarred Me For Life :rotfl:

My mom made mine, don't think I lifted a finger, so naturally I'm sure it looked better than most of those actually made by 5 yr olds. I blame it all on my mother. :heehee:

I'm sorry you're feeling under the weather. I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs :console2:

Your Easter dinner sounds r-e-a-l-l-y good @Carriemay60 !!! Glad your men are doing the cooking for you, that's even better! Our plans are uneventful. "Kids" usually spend holidays with the in-laws so we just keep everything pretty low key here. Hope you are feeling better!

Hope your day is a great day, Carriemay.
Your sweet funny spirit shines through in your posts and is certainly cheering and hopeful.
It's going to be an especially sweet summer!

Deep clean facial, followed by a nice shower including a good back scrub. All the dinner is prepped (mostly by the guys), dessert made (mostly by Awstin) . Just icing my tush and going to try another walk outside. Finally not raining! Supposed to have decent temps and little to no rain this week so hopefully can walk outside all week slowly increasing steps which is right on the suggested schedule of activity progression!
Edit: did my walk but forgot to start my step counter. I did go a bit further than last time though. A little chillier than I was dressed for and a bit sore from the shower brought me in.

With the oval soakers tub, the transfer bench sits only at about the halfway mark and I'm pretty sure I am narrowly within my restrictions if not slightly crossing the line. I would like to get back to showers daily but nervous to because getting the leg over hurts like the devil and really lingers for hours afterward. Might try to figure how to leave the bench outside the tub and use as balance once in but not sure the bathroom is big enough. Onwards :ok:

It sounds like you're all set for a yummy Easter dinner! Happy to hear that you're finally getting a break in your weather. That should really cheer you up...........it's the little things, showers, small walks, facials (!) and a home cooked meal by your loved ones. Makes me smile for sure!
