I have notice I am in less foot pain but my right knee that has been still score. Then the other get score and once I move around it feel better. also I have less need for pain pills. We will see if it continue. I do think a lot was shoes and inserts. Because it was getting so bad my muscle did get soft. Now to start exercise again. When I do take the pain pills the pain goes away. The bottom of feet are tender so I know they are being put in a different position. :doggieshmooze: Tashia

Good for you---getting those new shoes and getting rid of those old ones. And after a while, I'll bet you'll be feeling much better all around.
I just orderd 2 new pair. When they get here, I'll have to send the left shoes off to have a half inch lift put on the sole. I know that when I go barefoot or wear bedroom slipper that don't have the lift, my knees bother me and my back begins to talk to me too.
So let's behave ourselves and enjoy wearing our new shoes. :th_heehee: Judy

Judy B. sounds good to me. what to hear something wierd? I had one shorter than the other until I had a hip replacement now they are the same length. thats one of the reason I was so much in pain. Not only were my shoes wrong but so were my inserts. Now my body is trying to get back in line. I have to admit I'm a little sore. I wonder if all the shoes store will make profits this month?:th_heehee: Something so simple and so easy to solve. wouldn't it be interesting to find out how many shoes are going to be replaced this month? I'm going through something similar,
after my LTKR a year ago I trashed all my old shoes and got new ones (boy was that painful!) but they had horrible uneven wear.
now a year after my LTKR and 5 mo after my RTKR I'm having problems getting rid of the pain in my post RTKR
and long story short I'm again walking oddly (supentate with left and pronate with my right - looks as if it is as a result of left leg shorter than right leg) so now have a lift in my left shoe - and this weekend will be getting rid (outch) of shoes that show uneven wear.
now almost 2 full days wearing the lift I'm having less "heat and pain " in my right knee but I'm also feeling some minor aches in my left knee. Enough for me to realize that my body is noticing a difference.
I'm taking it easy on the walking as I let my body adjust. Just normal activity, no big walks with the dogs yet!!!
and tonight I have a massage!

Hi everyone, Yesterday was a very good day, Busy but good. My feet are getting much better. In fact I went to sewing last night and had a wounderfull time. My keens diidn't even hurt. It been years that they haven't hurt. i really had a good time. Good to be back to sewing and even got a quit started. However today really tired. Wroke up with both knees hurting but did sleep over eight hours. My feet are so much better. To think that old shows were causes most of the trouble is unbelivable. (sp) i get my other inserts I think next week. I'm really looking forward to it. Even a new pair of shoes. :wow2::egypt-dance:everyone take care:doggieshmooze:Tashia

This post was very helpful. I actually changed my shoes today. A shoe salesman once told me we should change our shoes every six months. If I can't do that I try to get the soles and heels realigned at the shoemaker's.

Last night I fell again and this time I'm pretty sure I have a broken toe, I think that is the only serious injury. So much not having my feet hurt. I was trying to do some unpacking and I fell. Well I guess me unpacking is going have to wait a little while. I was hoping to get my sewing room up and running so I could start sewing. Well I guess it going have to just wait. What a disappointment. I guess that comes with life. a little bump in the road. Well I better get some stuff on my foot. Oh Tashia - you are having such a hard time ! I think you need to be covered in gauze and cushioning :wink1:..and STOP that unpacking , get your foot up, and relax ! Hope you're better soon !

So sorry that you have fallen again, so please rest that foot up if the toe is broken, you need to get that sorted as soon as you can.
Don't worry about the unpacking, it will still be there when you are ready to get back to it, and as long as you are taking care of your knee and your toe thats all that matters for the moment.
