Littlejem you are so right, the physio people were realy nice and kind but they were so text book and very young. As we all know once you go through this it's so different

Yes, totally a roller coaster, I go from feeling hopeful and more positive when I'm in less pain or see a bit of progress, to feeling quite weepy at times when the pain is worse or I realise how long a recovery this can be.
But, I've made some good friends here, and know I'm not alone.

Yes definitely up and down, good days and bad days. Today mine feels like it's in a vice with 2 pressure points one either side of my kneecap!

Hi all I will be six weeks on wenesday, Thursday I see my OS, I still have a dull deep pain on the inside of my knee, I had this with my other TKR aventualy I needed a radio pherapy ablation as I had nerve damage, I pray this is not the case this time and it dose get better, the pain is were I had it the most be for surgery, if it was not for that pain I think all would be good, I take cocodamal 3 times a day, I get a bit weepy periodically I know this is normall. My recovery is so much better than the other knee was so I am very luck. I don't really know what question I am asking you all just don't like the pain I feel in my knee I know I have to be patient. Thanks for listening to my mone

It's good that you are seeing your OS on Wednesday, he can advise if it's ok and normal to feel like that. I get that occasionally but not all the time, I see my OS today.

Hi Dawni hopefully that pain is just swelling and/or stuff still trying to heal. I'm like you, if I didn't have that one spot I'd be clicking my heels (well as soon as I can bend my knee) LOL. Good luck on Thursday :-)

The physical therapist I've been seeing keeps telling me it's a long process of healing! He always reminds me that knee replacement surgery takes a year to recover from and I have two new knees! He encourages me that I am doing much better than I think. I know we've read that information and in our head we know that but . . . :tiredwheel:

I've learned that you don't have to ask a question here. You can just complain or tell us what is going on. We've been there or will be there soon and understand. It is a roller coaster ride.

All the best for your appointment with the OS, I hope you get some answers and reassurance from him.

Went for my 6 week check up today my OS was very pleased with me and said just looking at you your bend must be just over 120, I have permission to now drive my car that is very good I have my independents back, he said that my operation was a complex one as they had to realine my knee cap he showed me my ex rays of my knee and was very pleased with it and how things are going and told me to keep up the good work and he will see me in 3 months time.
