TKR Dawni has a knew knee

9 hours of standing is going to be bad. Hopefully, you can find time to ice and elevate. Push the issue if you can.

I bet you'll say yes!! :heehee: I know I would!

@sistersinhim I will let you know, I do spend a bit of time in my office but getting out 600 meals and other food I can't be sitting on my bum ; (

Well, you do have a challenge there, so make sure to ice and elevate when you get home. Think of your day of work as another trip to London, which you tolerated really well.

I'm on my feet for long hours every day at work too (nurse). I went back to work after 12 weeks off. There are a couple of things I will share. If you haven't been fitted for new shoes for work it's time to check into that. I wear sneakers. I went to a store that caters to runners. They examined my gait, watched howith my foot hits the ground, measured my feet, looked at the wear on my old sneakers and then brought out some sneakers to try. They made sure I was walking correctly. They even let you bring them back within 30 days to exchange them! This helped me a lot since my leg wasn't straight before my surgery but it was afterwards. Yes it costs a bit more but I can always re-order them on line when I need new ones.

@newlybionic thanks for the advice but unfortunately I have to have safety shoes. @mamazipp I wish I could think of it like that and have a glass of champagne as well now that would keep me going .xx

You can get safety shoe sneakers! They are heavier, but are still better than the regular safety shoes.

@sistersinhim I will look into that thank you I am in the UK do you think I can get them hear ?

You are welcome to come cook for me, Dawni. I will let you sit down and put your feet up while you work.

I don't see why not. Try 'googling' safety shoe sneakers or steel toe sneakers. I was able to get them way back in the 80's. Here in the States, Walmart carries them. Hopefully, yours will, too.

@sistersinhim I was thinking may be skechers as I have a pair of walk right ones and I am sure they do work shoes

That's even better. You know they're comfortable!
