He probably uses both. Glue is used on the skin but conventional sutures are still required to close the wound inside.My PT says he does glue, but it looks like dissolvable sutures to me
Interesting point. My experience with other similar devices has been that the guide is a pointed tool which is just speared into the surface of the bone. I'll ask MAKO and find out.That incision is where the antennae for the computer navigation system was placed on or in the tibia. I don't know if a hole was drilled into the tibia for that. Anyone know?

Or all of the above? Of course, at two weeks out it couldn't just be plain ol' post op pain, don't you think?I suppose the infection is involved or maybe the pain is from the infection OR the pain could be from me being up for so long going to dr, pharmacy etc.

1. what medications have you been prescribed, how much are you taking (in mg please) and how often?
2. how often are you icing your knee and for how long?
3. how high are you elevating your leg, how often and for how long?
4. what is your activity level? What do you do in the way of housework, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc., and
5. what kind of PT are you doing? How much and how often?
