I have just been busy this on here much less. I also have 2 friends in the worse or close to the worse part of the hurricane so I don't think I made it over here last night. My one friend was taking her deaf, blind and well messed up dog to the vet for recheck on a surgery.... she's at a motel till Tuesday from there no cash and her road is closed due to flooding.

I be also been busy readying the house and supplies for gulp post surgery ... I miss you all

You try and relax, you've done this before and you'll do fine.....I just know it.

I like the new thread name suggestion @MyAussieGirl . I agree with @Layla that you want to keep him for now as you will definitely need a caregiver. I can understand, too, why she doesn't want another one! One is one too many sometimes! Plus, to tell you the truth, I don't think any of them are perfect. They all have their flaws, even if we can't always see them. I suppose we might not all be perfect either, although that seems pretty hard to believe :heehee:

I bet by the time your surgery date rolls around, you will be more than ready as it sounds like your bad hip really hurts more and more these days. You will make out so good this time as you know exactly what to expect and how to deal with it. In the meantime you can relax on your new sofa which sounds so nice.

What do you mean we aren't perfect?? I am !!! I have a few minutes then I gotta go for the night... I do love the new title

After church we hit Walmart I have poop supplies be it constipation or diarrhea I'm ready. Groceries beans and bran up the ying yang and roid cream in case that end takes a beating THAT way!!!

Walking on my bad hip is way worse..... I hate to even walk it hurts so much...still wish they could fit it just waving a wand.
 
Gotta go but thanks on my friends in TX @Lerwick8 it's very worrisome one has water starting into her home and they are stuck there...the other 2 are broke at a motel they can't pay for. My friends all have pets who can't understand why they can't potty....remind me of me right after surgery
 
My heart goes out to your freinds and all others who are affected by this hurricane.
Leave it to you @MyAussieGirl to lighten the mood with your comment about going potty after surgery Lol!

On a different note, hope today's finds you relaxed and at peace. I know you've been a little stressed lately, but hoping it's passed.

Thanks @Layla not so relaxed so far but I'm ok just rushing getting more and more blood tests not for OS but other doctors and busy ...plus my friends I worry it's bad down there as you know .... I am online here less and less but hey after surgery I'll be on more lol

We could use some of your humor around here.
Don't you realize you have the awesome responsibility to keep us all in stitches?
You can have another couple days off but that's it!!

Texans are resilient and awesome people. I still can't get in touch with my old friends there. I always hated the flooding when it rained there as the underpasses and loops are crazy around there. I used to not mind crazy fast urban traffic but the last time we went to Atlanta and flew around their bypasses at 80 mph bumper to bumper...i was a nervous wreck by the time we stopped. And I wasnt even driving. I stomped a hole in my floor board though.
 
I do hope all your friends in Texas are ok, @MyAussieGirl. That storm is dreadful and for me, it is actually quite hard to imagine what it is like for all those people. I keep them all in my prayers.

And how are you doing? You are awfully quiet the last couple of days. I am assuming it is because you are both busy and you also have a lot on your mind. Just a couple more weeks to deal with all that pain and then you will finally be pain free! Are you finally getting some vets out of hubby's garden? We have had a lot of corn, tomatoes and lettuce. They sure taste good! A lot better than the vets at the supermarket. I hope you get another beach day or two in before your surgery. It has been a bit cool here but I see some hot weather out west so maybe it will move east for both of us. I'm not sure where you are in MI but I'm in upstate NY so I'm probably just east you you more or less. Have a relaxing day, MAG! Sending you a big hug!!

How are you doing today? Wondering if you've heard any news on your freinds in Texas?

The photos coming out of Texas are heartbreaking. I saw a photo today that was so disturbing I thought it had to have been photo shopped. It was of elderly people residing in some type of senior living situation, sitting in waist high water within their dwelling. They were trapped for a time! Thankfully they were eventually evacuated. Supposedly only after several calls for help were made to assist them, which were ignored, until photos were tweeted out. Unbelievable the stories coming from out of there. Prayers for all.

I hope you're feeling okay today and that you're sleeping well at night.

I just came on for now to tell you all I am stunning. I got my hair cut. Cool thing is girl who did it use to be my hair chick 2 years ago. Hubby said when she saw me her face lit up....She remembered my cut and quirks....,More later
