THR Aussie's Posterior LTHR

I worry about you @Mojo333 I love my new nickname btw I love the fact it's to feed others that you are doing what you're doing but I um hope others help. YOU need more down time I don't see me being too mellow post surgery if I do as well as last time I'll be all getting chewed out for doing too much. You're sleeping now I hope ... sweet dreams princess

My husband really does drool but in his sleep @Layla in fact he doesn't get a pillow case anymore for real we just put a towel on it he discolored so many of my pillow cases.

I do think I have everything set much better this time hey I even have a gastro on call for me this time. The only thing I could do better on is a car that's a big higher and bigger....

I'll love the sofa forever but worry I'll slop it up. You should see all the quilts on it lol

Hey @Lerwick8 I read your threat last night as I finally found it I am watching it now.... I may be the only person who will GET your fear of being stuck in and not getting out. I will address that late tonight but I GET you.... I took rides with hubby everyday just to get out.... I was blessed to have a car. I wish you had the Walker with the seat as I'd crawl rather then be IN too long. I caught hell-o a lot for over doing but had to DO ...the first oh say million pages in my thread is rather funny you can tell I was bored and people didn't get the I don't sit well gig.

Yes we will use our new devices ....still walker walks will be good a week or two out...... :walking: We want OUT lol

@MyAussieGirl ..

Hi there!

Would a walker with a seat make such a difference in your experience? Prey tell, cause I can always order one on Amazon. I just bought the plain front-wheeled walker suggested by the hospital.

Silly me, I actually thought about renting a wheelchair as I will have a hired caregiver for the first few weeks. If I got a wheelchair, then the caregiver could certainly wheel me for a few blocks.

I swear it is like planning the great escape:walking:

I'm so happy you finally have a new sofa!! I remember well all the grief you went through after your first surgery with tithe old one so now this next surgery recovery will seem like a breeze as you will be able to get up and down off the sofa all by yourself whenever you want! You should add your name to the September Sapphires over on the preop page so they put your next surgery date in your signature. That would help some of us older folks that can't remember dates so well any more. I had thought your date was mid Sept but now with all the preop stuff already, I'm not sure any more :what:

Lol @Lerwick8 I think either would be nice as you WILL go crazier just not being out. Renting a wheelchair isn't a bad idea then you can go farther. Do more things. Maybe two weeks would maybe be sufficient. The Walker with seat is nice too as you can walk sit if need be then walk again. Scoping places closer to home say a book store or coffee shop would be helpful NOW so you have somewhere closer to home to go to. You said there are benches but will they be empty when you need them always? Cover your bases so you can get out daily. Maybe not for a few days but you'll want out. Sorry I didn't get to your thread last night I got tied up till 2 am with Amazon customer service

I noticed on tv yesterday, on QVC, Sure Fit sofa covers that looked decent, came in a variety of colors, are washable and waterproof. I watched a presentation and thought of you!! The thing that impressed me is they supposedly stay in place. They used the example of how dogs jump up on the sofa, kind circle around until they get situated on how they want to sit, all the while messing up an blanket you may have on your sofa as protection.
You may want to check it out online. You can normally watch the presentation.

So.....are you getting all prepped for hip number two? You're going to be a pro at this, I just know it! I'm sure you're recovery will go great especially with the rest and comfort you'll get on the new sofa. In addition, I'll bet the gastro will help in getting / keeping your intestinal track in working order hopefully saving you from a :horseriding:REPEAT!

Hope your day is treating you well @MyAussieGirl. I'm heading out for a little walkie in the parkie! :walking:

Awww @Layla you thought of me when you watched TV I can't really afford one more thing it's easier to throw a couple kitchen chairs be on the sofa when we are gone. We Never have company over so no problem leaving the quilt on.

Oh yes minus more house cleaning and a haircut I think I've done all I can do to get ready. ... I won't know till closer to but I think so and have been mega busy ugh

Sorry hubby started bugging me I had to go... it's been an annoying day not be horrible but stupid docs office calling me on blood work and it wasn't my OS just another office saying I went and check with OS ...OS sez it's all good. We don't know why other doc called then hubby in a mood...jeeze

They added it to the list but they forgot to add it to your signature. Maybe you can do that yourself. I thought once I read that there instructions on here somewhere to fix our signatures but I have no idea where. Or you can take an admin person to do it.

GrannyC I am not Worried on my signature line they will add it when they can. I am behind and not wanting to be look up how to do siglines. If you're REALLY concerned you'll forget don't be as THIS will be the thread I'll use they said so sooooo I'll be chill on it

MyAussieGirl...you are exactly right. Too too much, but I had my surgery almost 4 months ago with no complications? Just get so tired and should be fine as frog hair. See my thread... as I threw all my family's problems out to Dougie .
Mental stress us much more exhausting than physical...and I do well until work is done, then errands and phone calls to family...then :dead:

No, No, No......Love you @MyAussie Girl but I can't take hubby.
I already have one of those and as all of us girls know,
ONE Is ENOUGH :rotfl:

In all seriousness, these days leading up to surgery can be stressful as you already know. I'm sure tension
is running a little higher. I'm gonna pray that all starts to fall into place, that you're mentally prepared,
at peace and ready to get it over with it and onto recovery...laying on the couch barking orders at the Saint :loll:
