Oh Aud, so sorry to hear about the nasty morphine withdrawal time, that must have been a bit scary for you. Hope youare back to normal now and managing without the morphine

I seen you mention on another thread about getting shouted at for not sitting properly in school....I mentioned this too in my thread. The Teacher would tell me off for not crossing legs when sitting on the floor...I would sit froggie style like you as that was the only way I could. When I got older and more confident I would take great delight in pointing out that it was impossible as I had a disability...that soon shut them up.lol.

The queues at the new Krispy Kreme here were ridiculous so we waited a few weeks before venturing near. Our kids always want us to get them some when we go to the Metro Centre but I don't often....I don't like spending a tenner on doughnuts no matter how delish they are.lol

Wish you'd been at school with me. I might not have been shouted at as much, we could have had it split between us. I always felt like i had the problem because everyone else was fine. lol
And a tenner on donuts.... in saying that i bought a cupcake from a vending machine in the St Enoch centre in Glasgow. £2.50! And you could only use your bank card!..... I was conned! PMSL.

And here I always thought krispy Kreme was a Virginia brand-- but my husband says not! Be sure to cruise by frequently for that HOT sign to light up; there is nothing like hot krispy Kreme!! We had Krispy Kreme in church this morning! Dozens and dozens and dozens LOL.....

Kim22 it was the Easter special-- they were for visitors, of whom there were apparently scores if not hundreds (big church) maybe even some will come back again before next Easter...
I love Rich Tea biscuits-- I went to school in Montreal, and had them then.

Yesterday my seven year old daughter said "mum, I'm glad your legs are all better!" I looked at my hubby and said...is she kidding?. She said "you look ok now!" .... well I put a hip replacement video on and she only lasted til they removed the femur......was that evil.... or what? Lol

Oh they will LOVE bunkbeds-- I used to sleep in the bottom bunk when hubs snoring got too much to bear...... And yes, you are the evilest of the evil there, scaring the snot out of an impressionable 7 yr old girl. Shame on you! If somebody had done that to me at that age, parTICularly my mother, I'd never darken the door of any medical professional in my life!

Aud, I feel so sorry for you and Anniepops for what you endured at school...we all shared an (sort of) invisible disability. I remember a foul gym teacher who bullied me because I couldn't do much physically. After a few months of it I whipped up my school knickers (we had baggy serge ones with pockets for our hankies, that ages me, right?) and showed her my scars. I was her favourite after that. I also remember getting the ruler in primary school for 'messing around' and not crossing my legs like the other kids. Of course, I couldn't. I'd like to see her now that I'm kicking butt with the sexy penguin walk!!

I put my scar as my desktop picture..... but they changed it to something not resembling butcher meat. Ha

That was nice of them!! I also got a major 'plastics' job when my OS went in over a very ugly old scar that I'd lived with for years. Every time I see him he wants to admire it.. I have to admit, it looks pretty darned good. Too bad I waited so long to get the new hip....all those years of getting stared at on the beach!

Vicki Vida thise school knickers of yours sound very lovely....not I guess we all had to try and stick up for ourselves when we were kids as nobody else was going to and if that means making someone feel awful for their words/actions then so be it but getting the ruler for not sitting properly is just downright cruel, poor you.x,

Aud, jst as well you didn't keep that scar pic as your avator, it might put the willies up any new members.lol.

Hope you are good and I hope your little girl is over the trauma of watching some of the THR surgery, bless her.x.
