Audball if you google hip replacement exercises utube there are lots of sites that give you exercises to do. My doctor had given me a book with exercises for up to 6 weeks and one for more strenuous ones for after that. I find that they really helped me. I get quite stiff if I don't do the exercises or at least get out and walk.

Littlejem, zauberflöte Audball black pudding sounds like our version of blood sausage....I don't eat that either. We have some really gross foods here too that people eat like head cheese and pickled chickens feet both are no's for me. I remember my mom saying "well you wash the chickens feet before you pickle them". Audball I agree to at least trying everything once so if I were in a situation where these weird foods were served I would probably taste them.

Littlejem. After me saying how some of this food I would never try, snails and frog legs and I have tried :heehee: Snails I could eat, frog legs I had a problem with but I did try it.

Frog's legs are enough like chicken wings that I might try them... but snails probably not. Head cheese, blood sausage, chicken feet pickled or no, nope! How about chitlins? (Chitterlings),,,, ugh....:heehee:

I wouldn't try frogs legs because 'they are frogs legs', nah, not even if they taste of chicken, some things it's just not right to eat!!
What on earth is head cheese, the mind boggles at what it could be!! As a child we used to have pigs trotters or tripe for an evening meal, you don't see tripe much now but I hear trotters are making a comeback in fancy restaurants!!!

Ohhh...gross! I think I have butchered too many animals to try any of that stuff. The closest I've ever gotten is liver, after a fellow nurse gave me a really good recipe that draws a lot of the "heavy" flavor out of it. I have a question though, I guessed tatties are potatoes, but what are neaps? Thought of something else that I love, but totally grosses my family out....sardines. Love those little fishies! :heehee:

Hi sqwerlie,I believe neaps is a Scottish name for turnips.Liver and turnip not a good combination as it reminds me too much of school dinners.I love sardines reminds me of sunny lunches in Mediterranean countries washed down with a carafe of vino.

Yep neaps are turnips. You should buy some Oor Wullie or The broons books... that will really mess with your brains. Lol.

I have physio exercises to do. Six months after op, but hey ho. My goodness it burns. I must have got really lazy... my legs don't want to play. Hee hee

Audball don't be a spoilsport now! Do the exercises like a good girl and then you can chase down all that Wullie or whatever it was you said up there LOL. Oh, ok, just looked it up, and I actually had translated it correctly LOL! Been watching too much Monarch of the Glen I think. I'll bet I'd only understand half of what you say if I came to visit...

Hahahahaha Chris. Only ever seen a wee bit of Monarch of the Glen. Oor Wullie is a newspaper comic strip and a book. About a wee boy that sits on a bucket.
