Poppet when Aud went back to work some weeks ago, they promised her a new chair. So far it is invisible, and if ya can't see it, ya can't sit on it....
We got a new head manager and I went up and introduced myself and told him about my new hip and invisible chair. He wrote it all down and said he will get it sorted. .......should I still hold my breath? .....I'm going a bit purple. Lol
Audball oh, walker? like what we used in the early days post-op? I thought maybe it was a form of Zamboni
Tell you what. Hold your breath on alternate days off, and breathe the rest of the time. I'm worried about your oxygen levels!! Might have to give you a transfusion!!!!! Well, I hope he's a go-getter and really does come through with a visible chair SOON or you'll be, you'll be... what will you be? Um?
Do you have a HR and OH&S department Audball who could help you?
I hope they did a full OH&S evaluation for you, including type of chair (measured) and height of desk compared to the chair. Check that you have all your desk bits and pieces, phone, mouse, writing pads all within the correct position to avoid you turning or twisting your torso. Checked out the toilet facilities etc, checked out restrictions in the case of a fire evacuation(if multiple floors)...
I had to have one before I was allowed to go back to work full time. Pretty much standard practice in OZ.
I phoned the replacement helpline and ive to go see my surgeon on Thursday at 2. Told her it sometimes feels like my hip is grinding, scared to bend forward and a pulling sensation at times with some pain. Okaaaaay I'm probably pushing myself to hard.... but I swear no roller skates or shed roofs. Lol
Oh and on Saturday I was in the garden and fell chin first into jaggie nettles. What's the first obvious thing to do?......yep, check neighbours windows, incase anyone seen it happen. Lol
Meant to write in here earlier. Duhh. Surgeon got hip x rayed, says it looks fine but muscles need work to loosen them. So now, 16weeks later, I'm going for physiotherapy. Lolol. Awww well I can but try. And I've to go swimming.
