I just have an image of a baboon on a roof. ( big pink sore bum.)
I want a racoon. They look cute but heard they do damage. Can't be any worse than my weans. Lol

Sorry about the sore bum. Have to say, you are giving me quite the mental picture of family life at Audball's house. In a very good way.Sounds like chaos at times, but lots of fun!

We don't have raccoons here in the uk but we do have squirrels and in our last house we had a family living in the roof!! Mum, dad and a quite a few babies, they can cause all kinds of problems, chewing electric cables and the like. They were still there when we moved out, we didn't tell the woman who bought our house as she was a right miserable old so and so, it was probably a bit of a surprise for her!!

Audball that will teach you to drink a whole liter at once!!!!!! Yeah, raccoons are mischievous, and the problem is, they never grow up and say I'm sorry mum let me clean it up....(oh wait, have my kids said that yet? LOL)
Littlejem we have squirrels in attics too-- major nuisance. I've heard of raccoons in the attic too. Bats too... birds...

English vs American again-- you said "right miserable old so and so", and I made a connection. Here in our South, we say, for example, "Well that's right much work to do" and I always thought it was a country-ism. But it's probably a holdover from Elizabethan English, like so many Appalachian things are.... not so much any more, I guess, everybody's got cable tv or satellite, but true when I was a teenager.

You're probably right in both zauberflöte remains of old English sayings and the fact that everyone watches satellite these days we pick saying up from all over.

I started back at work today. Felt ok and more like me... Not sure if that's good or bad. lol. Few people asked where i had been hiding and then i got the usual... "at YOUR age" aye! lol

Poppet somewhere or other we had a long conversation about the raccoon that got into my house while we were on vacation, and the total havoc the cat sitter had to deal with. Search "yellow marker", you should find it

Hello, joining the "racoon thread"... We used to live next to a resevoir and protected woodland, and one middle of the night (3am) when I couldn't sleep decided to take the dog out for a walk. I saw racoons all about, using the sewers and the drainage grates for their transportation system, popping in and out, scurrying around, running from one to the other. Scared the life outta me! Good thing the dog was on a leash, or he would've gone down the sewer, chasing them! I headed home quick and decided to spend my wakeful hours watching TV instead.

Audball Congrats on going back to work. That's big progress!

FB it's been ok. Really needed back to normal. Lol. Hospital said 12 weeks.... I pleaded and said I was feeling ready. Haha
