Re: Nerve Damage

What are you doing up so early Jamie or are you having a late night?

Re: Nerve Damage

This is a normal night for me.....it's a little after 11:00 p.m. :th_heehee:

Re: the Cheshire Cat
and this time it faded out in such a way that its tail went first, and the last thing Alice saw was the grin which stayed some time after the rest of it had gone.

"Well, I've seen a cat without a grin," thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the strangest thing I ever saw in all my life!"

Re: Nerve Damage

I'll have a look at private message (if I can work out how to)

Re: Nerve Damage

I fell yesterday, not good, possible damage to hip (talking fracture/chip) (not the operated one). Significant hematomas (sp) unable to fully weightbear, xrays required.
I'm so upset!! and in PAIN

Re: Nerve Damage

Montymum sending you mega hugs :friends:

Please do let us know what the outcome is of your x-rays etc. I am thinking about you:sigh:

Re: Nerve Damage

Oh Montymum, so sorry to hear of your fall. I'll wait to hear of the outcome, but sending you best thoughts that it is not a bad result and you will continue to recover fine.
:console:

Re: Nerve Damage

Sorry about your fall Monty! Let us know what the results are, ok? We are thinking of you.

Re: Nerve Damage

Oh my.....so sorry to hear you had a fall. Please update when you can. We'll be worried about you.

Re: Nerve Damage

Thanks for kind words. Fortunately nil fracture. Extensive bruising, with twisted knee. Makes mobilising difficult due to paralysis of left leg now damage to right. But coping.
Cherio! , its been nice being part of your forum.

(((((((((((Montymum))))))))))
What a terrible time of it you've been having. I really feel for you. Here I am carrying on about a bit of bursitis when you have had such trauma.
Would it be worth contacting a surgeon across the ditch? The surgeons in Australia would have seen this type of problem.
I'm not sure how the whole medicare thing would work but I know kiwis go on our system once they are here. It's worth looking into. I have a good surgeon if you want contact details.
Hope you find the relief that you deserve.
Kirsten

Just wondering

Hi, I've decided to have a 'moan' again which I'm sorry for due to not being known as a moaner.
Does anyone know of a person who has had issues with femoral nerve and sciatic nerve injuries during hip replacement (both nerves damaged not just one)?
Will be interesting to make contact with you if you have.
Along with my femoral nerve damage it has been found my sciatic nerve was damaged at the same time which is why I have had NIL improvement and one paralysed leg since the surgery!
Hope everyone is well and happy.

Regards from ME:doggieshmooze: (monty's mum)

Re: Just wondering

Well, begger me! That's no joke. I am so sorry to hear that, MM. Getting one pranged is unusual - getting both pranged is down right carelessness.

Re: Just wondering

Very sorry to hear this MM. Guess I should count my blessings! No, I haven't heard of anyone having such a problem.

Re: Just wondering

Hi Josephine, have you changed your hairstyle?

Re: Just wondering

:hysterical: She's still quite the "fox" though, isn't she!!!

So sorry you are having nerve problems. What have your doctors said about it all?

Re: Just wondering

MOntymum, I know before my surgery they told me that having sciatic nerve damage was a concern because of lengthening my leg. Did they snap your nerve or just nick it or stretch it? Do you have "foot drop"? I asked a lot of questions and they did say the nerve would heal in time if it was affected. I pray that all turns out ok for you, but keep the faith. Huggs

Re: Just wondering

MM, as you know I already have the femoral nerve damage! I am now awaiting the results of an MRI scan to see if I have damage with my sciatic nerve, or if a disc is just compressing the nerves?:what:

Due the results hopefully this week
