I'm back!
I will have my Left Hip replaced next Monday, 11/17.

I had my Right Hip replaced 6 months ago.....hope this one goes as well as the first one.

To all the November Nimbles sitting in the waiting room...

Do not fret - it really is over before one realises!
Do not worry about a man made hip - the new one works and will continue to work!
Do understand that 'patience' will become your new friend!
Do understand that each little milestone, that was normal before, will now take all your energy!
Do remember to question anything and everything - it is your right!
Do remember to love the new you (not just the OS)!
Do not be shy about asking for help, or simply saying - I can't do that today but will be stronger to do it tomorrow!

Time, patience, and pain will be still with you, just in a different form!

well gutted at not being a November nimble after all, just have to join the super nova,s on 5th dec I guess,i read all the bonesmart info on healthy eating post op to assist your bodys recovery process very helpful it was oh well onwards and upwards tally ho.

i am not sure how to start this post...i am scheduled to have surgery on monday(11-24-14) so thought i would breeze thru some of the forums...to my amazement 95 % of the post do not ask the right questions...My background..I have sold most of the implants being talked about (yes, i was/am a rep..successful for one of the implant companies ) but now i need to have my hip replaced at 44 yo...changes your way of thinking..only in the aspect of wanting to help people who have no idea..I realize this is a forum and you have no idea what to think of my opinions but would love to give my advice (not promoting any company, we are all in the same boat)..with that said...do not get operated on until U KNOW EVERYTHING!!!

Well the day is fast approaching, Nov 26, yikes. It sure has helped reading all the posts, lots of positive inspiration. Nevertheless there are nerves, stress and worries. I am fortunate that three of friends have all had successful THR...this Saturday the hipsters are over for dinner to pass on their wisdom and support. Best of luck to my fellow November hipsters!
