Hello new friends, I'm scheduled to get my right hip replaced on November 21st and if all goes well my left one in February. Scared ? You bet, very scared ! But I owe it to my 7 year old daughter and my beautiful wife to get my life back...
 
Can someone tell me how to prepare your home for after surgery and what to bring to the hospital

Hello. I just booked into SuperPath surgery in Sydney, Australia scheduled for 27th November with Dr Sol Qurashi. I am scared and nervous as I was with my THR on my right hip 7 years ago. This was successful although posterior and longer recovery than what SuperPath suggest. Please tell me anyone who has had SuperPath how they feel and has anyone had both types as I will have and does it feel completely different or the same for both hips? I teach Pilates and Yoga as well as Creative styel GROOVE Dance with is a lot of turn out changes in movement eyc and have been able to do that with the Right Hip Replacement. I also taught ZUMBA for 3 years which is probably oe of the reasons my left hip now needs replacing. I am very interested to hear from anyone who is in a similar position or has already been through having both hips done and which was the best if there is a best?

Hi everyone I was just cleared by my family doctor yesterday for surgery and I am scheduled for pre-op surgery on Nov 6. My Anterior hip replacement is scheduled for November 24, 2014 in Louisville, Ky. I have bone on bone arthritis and have walked with a limp for about 38 years of my life. I am 52 and will be 53 on Nov 10 so I hope this surgery will be the greatest birthday present
 
Scheduled for RTHR on November 4th. Getting very anxious about my decision to go through with it!
 
Hi @tmusicman - It will be the greatest gift! I too walked with a limp for 20+ years and now after 10 weeks post op have new lease on life!! Best wishes for a speedy recovery, just follow doctors orders and bonesmart mantras and you'll do fine!
 
Slight change to my surgery date. New surgeon and now a day earlier. 27th Nov now for me :)
