    THR Tweetybrd's new hip!!

So glad you are doing well and getting out for short walks! It feels so good to get outside on your own 2 feet right? I started small like you just went a few houses down and back. Did that for a few days then increased slowly. I felt like a rock star those first few weeks! All I could think...

THR 3 weeks post RTHR...a few questions

Interesting discussion on the Celebrex- my surgeon has prescribed Celebrex for me since postop Day 1. I never knew about the issue with bone formation. I've took it every day for 3 months and I healed up well. I still have a few in reserve for days when I overdo it and my thigh starts hurting...

THR What kind of anesthesia did you have for hip surgery

I had spinal and sedation. I was out like light. Wasn't even awake for the spinal. Didn't hear a thing either. One minute I'm in the OR next minute I was waking up in recovery. Like others have said the extended pain relief from the spinal was wonderful. I had posterior approach.

    THR New hip in town

Thanks @Jaycey and @Cas for the encouragement. A week later the hip is feeling better. I'm being extra careful to avoid any twisting. Still a little sore but no more twinges of severe pain like last week. I find at this stage if I don't make time to walk each day my hip hurts more. When I walk...
