TKR Ironman makes it to other side

Hi @Nana moon 27 & all. Made me smile to see an e mail from you. My knee is still doing great. It will be a year & a half in a few days. Time flies. I hardly even think of my knee anymore. I am on the go all the time. Still hiking, traveling & spending time with the Grandkids. Even got to go...

TKR Recovering & Getting Ready for #2

Great for you @NightQuilter !!! Those kind of goals keeps a person young. I'm sure you know to take some of what we call Mole Skin with you in the long uneven hikes. It has saved my feet on a few mountain packin's. Takes care of those hot spots if you run into trouble. Good luck!!!

TKR Ironman makes it to other side

It is Great to come back on here occasionally & hear from a few newbies & even some of the people that went through the same time I did. If I'm feeling a bit down I can come on here & know that I will hear back from many that helped me through even if it is just a tag. Too many to mention but...

Bilateral TKR Suzzee 2000's race to a new life.....

I am waiting for my mountain. I am ready but I don't think I will get to it this year. Lots going on. I put a new pic up from the last horse show. Even I can wear a Pink Cowboy hat if it makes the Grand Daughters happy. I think the shows will be on hold for a while as my Wife's Sister got kicked...

TKR lymes disease effect knee replacement?

I know just enough about Lyme Disease to be dangerous. I was diagnosed with it over 30 years ago. Back then they knew even less than they know now. I was way under treated (Tetracycline for 10 days) with no follow up. If caught early it can go into remission & never reappear. It took about a...

TKR Ironman makes it to other side

Hi @Poppet . I agree totally. 60 is the new 40 here also. If I would have ate right in my younger days & had good knees 60 would be the new 30. :dancy: :climb: :hiking:

TKR Nana Moon's Shiny New Second Knee

Glad things are going well. Don't be scared of retirement. Since I retired I can't remember how I ever had time to work. Life is a gift & I just go all the time. Catching up on volunteering, helping friends, lots of time with the Grandkids & even lots of time for myself. I even got to climb a...

TKR Recovering & Getting Ready for #2

WOW!!! You didn't get the easy fix. I hope it all works out for you. That hurts just thinking about it. I got the easy fix but still have a somewhat bad back. For me the knee surgery was so much tougher but it is doing great & was worth all the pain that it took to heal up. My other knee is...

Bilateral TKR Suzzee 2000's race to a new life.....

Dang, Two of my favorite people on here. I hope you are both doing great. 15 months for me & I'm still kicking & over doing. Just got back from another vacation up North to the Apostle Islands. Half camping & half Hotels with lots of hiking. Knee gets a little stiff occasionally but no pain.

TKR Ironman makes it to other side

Hi @Newone15 Yes, I am very active & it seemed like I only had one speed. Get er done. I had had back surgery 2 months before the knee replacement & once I turned the corner from the knee I hit the ground running. It was like I got a new life. I was way over doing & was doing so well that I...

TKR Ironman makes it to other side

@referee54 glad I could come back too. You people on here do a great job & a great service. It is hard to come back & see the new people in so much pain & disbelief that a knee surgery could be that bad. It takes me back to when I was there. I was way under informed & lost. I thought I was a...

TKR Ironman makes it to other side

Thanks @Nana moon 27 . It has been one year today that I got my new knee. Even though that year went by pretty fast the first month was like time stood still. Between the pain & meds I thought I had made the biggest mistake of my life. Thanks to all the great people on this Forum I was able to...
