@Legin:
Let me think a minute before I answer.... Yes, I know there are tons of capable men out there (I sure didn't mean to minimize your abilities) and I have no doubt you are one of them! And, I have to add that when it comes to shopping for facial and hair care products, it would be best for me to do that piece of shopping. And, it actually is an excuse for me to get out of the house! It's that 2 birds with 1 stone thing.... :)
BTW...guess what my hubby's name is..

I know....I get your sense of humor and enjoy all your posts! You make me giggle all the time. :)

Laughter is the best medicine, as my old boss once said how does your wife put up with you. I just asked does hugging the boss mean a disciplinary.....

Well, this morning I am being a bit of a lazy bum! Have only left my lair to retrieve coffee and a couple of potty breaks. Hubby is off getting car serviced and I am relishing in the sanctitude of my own space. My PT yesterday was good and woke up with no extra discomfort. I did ice up, big time, after he left, though. Also had a great visit from my grandson yesterday. Even though he is only 17, he makes a point of calling and visiting every chance he gets. Does my heart good to know he loves his Nana and my daughter raised him to be a kind, compassionate person. I am so proud of him!
I am going to venture out today to take a little walk around the neighborhood, just to get some fresh air in my lungs. This cabin fever is getting to me.
I hope all my BS friends have a wonderful day!

Hope you had fun out surveying your domain & I tend to agree that sometimes the solitude of everyone just leaving you alone for a while is fantastic.

Have a great recovery day

Well, one more day without seeing the great outdoors. It seems my butt and thigh muscles simply do not want to cooperate the last couple of days. I have tried standing up at the bar height counter and doing gentle stretches with knee raises (not past the 90 restriction though). It seems to help but I'm thinking I need to be kneaded! I also tried doing some semi squats, as my PT instructed...but that kills my knee. Sometimes I think I'm not doing enough now. Any advice would be very appreciated..
Thank you all for your continued support, suggestions, advice and caring! I hope you all have a blissful night.

@Nana757
Do you think it may be muscle spasms? I've read where some on here suffer from them after surgery. Also, the PT thing has me baffled. Why would surgeons prescribe them, when so many on here have problems from too much PT (and what is too much)? Enough to drive a person crazy! Wish I could "knead" them away for you! :-(

I'm thinking that's what it may be..but there's a little more of a burning ache than usual. I see my OS on Monday, so he may some advice. :)

I need to be kneaded too! Unfortunately my insurance expressly prohibits it, so I'll have to spring for it myself! Hope you get your issues sorted, and you can venture out!

The best part of being over 65 is you get Medicare and for a nominal fee, supplemental from AARP, which ends up paying 100% @agileHippie. Age does have its benefits, sometime! Thanks @Cynthia777 ...as always, you are so comforting.
Icing up right now and being prone helps...so I will be on my way to dreamland soon.. Sayonara!

@Nana757 So sorry to hear about the problems your getting, sadly they sound way too familiar from my early days of recovery.

From the PT side of things all I did over the basic "walk" was the simple knee lifts and leg movements to the side and back from the upright stabilised position at the kitchen worktop. That was enough to tire me in the first week at home.

With the nerve twinges, mine used to & in fact still do feel like something is twitching my nervous system inside almost any part of my body. Almost like a mini electric shock making a muscle or limb jump. If that sounds familiar then I found that on me that was a sign of tiredness and being close to causing myself a problem if I tried to push past that point, the good news is a short snooze and something to eat usually counteracted it & I was right as rain inside an hour or two.

Hope that helps. Insomnia here atm so cup of tea and a quick read before I snooze again.

Hope you feel better soon and have a great recovery day

Re the twitches, its nerves sorting themselves out. Repairing those damaged and also its a tad like going on a car journey. Off you trundle on the best and quickest route. Suddenly oh road closed follow the divertion. You will get there just later and you may miss the appointment. So with you brain told leg to move but as nerves had to follow a diversion message got there late.

@AndyH99 and @Legin...
That sounds exactly like what's going on. Thank you. I do feel so much better when I'm just laying in bed and iced up, at night. Fortunately, I only have a sleepless night rarely. The rest of the time I sleep a good 8-9 hours. My lair has all kinds of sleep fairies flying around.
On another note, my husband just made my night! He deforested my legs and cut my toenails. He is definitely one of a kind. Now I know I'll sleep like a baby!
OS appt in the am. I'll report back with his opinion. Have a good night all. Time for milk and cookies and then bed!

Good luck with appt lass
