I hardly know what to say, Twink. If you're not going to tell them, "NO, I'm not doing this", then I guess you should give it at least a couple of weeks---if you can stand it.

Have you considered something like Ambien for a short period to get your sleep cycle sorted out? You would just feel so much better if you were getting a good night's sleep. Just a thought.

Keep your chin up, keep us posted, we care.

Thanks Judy! I actually did sleep a little better last night. I wasn't aching all night which was such a happy surprise.

I haven't been able to sleep through the night in so long, I can't remember. And, even before the surgery because of my bladder. I do take one Tylenol PM at night, and I think that really helps, so even after getting up to go potty, I can get right back to sleep. I'd prefer to sleep straight through, but I think that when I sleep, it's a better sleep.

I don't know anything about dynasplint ..but it sounds like torture to me! My GP says it will be a year before I can say I'll be glad I had it!

Nancy ~ I have my doubts about the Dynasplint too, but I have to give it a try.

At least until I see the surgeon in a few weeks. I think that I agree with your GP...I am still (at 4 months) not happy that I had the surgery and can see how people feel the same way. I was hoping that by month 6, that might change, but I am not sure about that either. My life has changed drastically this past 4 months. I want my life back! I want to get back to dancing and my life the way it was before.

I suppose we'll just have to remember...

Hi everyone!
[Bonesmart.org] Twinkletoes' Recovery
I wanted to give you an update on the Dynasplint... I'm still not liking it
[Bonesmart.org] Twinkletoes' Recovery
but it's either that that's helping with my flexion, or it's the acupuncture.

Or, it could be a combination of the two.

I posted in someone else's thread that I think I'm starting to think that I am getting close to "normal"...

I have to get ready to go for my acupuncture treatment now...

Well, either or both, as long as your starting to get some results and feel better, who cares! But that is really GOOD NEWS. :yahoo: And "normal" is also just a state of mind. So think "normal" and you'll be "normal".:th_heehee:

It always seems like an oxymoron that having needles stuck in you makes you feel better---never tried it myself---but since it works, enjoy!

Take care, keep us posted, we care.

Is anyone else confused by the change in the forum??? I don't know how or why I lost my dancers animation in my signature and a few other changes too.:scary: I popped in over the weekend and thought that I was in the wrong place, but of course, I saw my photo avatar and posts in my thread, but so many things have changed that I wasn't sure what to do... Someone please help! ??????? :sos:

Twink, the forum has had a major change. The platform it was on was becoming unstable and subject to crash at any time. The change had to be made several weeks before they wanted it. They are still tweaking things and will be for a while. The section of the forum that has the rules and regs, the how to use the forum posts, also has a place for techie questions and for problems you are having. You can go there and list the things you need to know about. We are all kind of working our way through this. In the next 3 to 4 weeks we'll all have a really good handle on it and life will go back to being pretty much the same. Hope you are doing well.

In a couple of weeks we will all be pro's at this and the old forum logistics will be but a memory! It takes some getting used to, but every time you use it it will get easier and easier!

some of the bugs still have to be worked out---Orkin will not have to be called!

Twinkletoes you can just go into the user control panel (hover over your name at the top right hand side of the page you're on the "user control panel" drops down) and edit your signature. It's pretty easy.

jerseychick; do you know how to put a pic from your computer in your signature? It ask for a URL---I don't know what to do with that.

bottomshollow; I see what you mean. You would have to upload a pic to a server (I did this before, uploaded a pic to my website) and then type in the URL. As far as I can see, it doesn't show another way to do it.

I did what you told me...hovered over my name at the top and then typed in the url for the dancers smiley, but all I see is the url. Any other suggestions? I also noted that I could not use my own smileys in the body of my post, as they show up as the dreaded red 'x'! :eeeuw: I'm not liking this! I hope they get all the bugs cleaned out soon!:gaah:

We get the forum for free and I think its really good value. We need to be patient while the bugs are being ironed out. There we go again - that work patience.

PATIENCE-----Isn't it strange that a commodity we need so much for so many thing is so hard to come by?

Hmmm....@Twinkletoes; I didn't know that the dancer smilies come from the internet. I will tag someone that hopefully will be able to help you. RichardRobins;

Jerseychick ~ I went in again and tried what you said, but all I get is the url and no smiley.:gaah: I might be able to put my dancers smiley IN the body of my post, but not in my signature...

Now, how to get that into my signature???? :sos:

Twinkletoes; I just added your dancing smilies to my signature. Here's how I did it: go to your name at the top of the page and hover over it until you get the drop down control panel. Click on signature and then find the icon that says insert URL. Then copy and past your dancing smilie link into the box. Click save and it should work.
