Tashia, thoughts and prayers that everything works out for you. Has the medicine just started not working since your latest knee replacement? Maybe new meds are doing something to your cancer meds.
Tashia,
I am sorry to hear your cancer meds are not working. Please take care. I hope the doctors have something for you soon, many new treatmemts are available.
Today I got my new medication. It takes a long time for it to work so I will have to deal with my depression for a while. At least I now know whats up. Had a good day, got to go to a sewing store to see some friends. It was a very pretty day. We are having some heat but not bad. I am so grateful that my knee is getting so much better. I again forgot to take my pain medication so things are so looking up. Its so grate to be in this place instead of waiting for surgrey. I was able to do stairs without even thinking about it. WoW that is so great. My feet are a little tender but not bad. I have so much to be greatfull for even though I am fighting depression and axienty. Oh well so I misspelled anxiety. the world won't end. Everyone do take care and do be careful. Have a very good day tomarrow. Tashia Tashia is having to be careful not to .
Today I saw a very good friend and she is at peace. Afterwards we went out for lunch and found that my knee was a little in pain. I need to start paying more attention to when the pain starts. When I say pain I don't mean high but to know it. Mostly stiff. It has come to far to say the least. I am finding my mood is down because of the Cancer medication. My apartment is coming along and is getting more home. This time last year I was in so much pain, it feels so good to be able to think of other things other than pain. My four months birthday is coming up and I not sure I was expending to be this far. I do know this its GREAT! Everyone do have a wonderful weekend and for those who are still waiting for the replacement your day will come to be free of the joint that is causing such great pain. Do take care and stay safe. Tashia
I think I am having a side effect of my Cancer medication. My ears are screaming with a very high pitch and really getting to my nerves. I have taken something but I am still in trouble. It is also raising my blood pressure which is not good I hope I can hold out till tomarrow but I don't know if I will be able too. Well I guess my hill got a little too slippery and I have slipped. Everyone take care. Tashia has fallen of and is trying to get back on
Tashia,
So sorry you are having such side effects . Please take good care of yourself, and hope you can see or talk to the MD on Monday for a medication adjustment or advice for the side effects.
Pumpkin I also having trouble with pain. I was working myself off the medication and I got so sore. I am so disppointed that I not able to get of medication. I guess it not my time, I find myself impactice. I just want to drive again. I know I have come much further than before. I don't know which is the worse so I am going up to the dose of pain medication I was a couple of days ago and hopefully get stabel. I know I am in a depression from the Cancer medication and the new dose is also brothing me so I will only take this on until I am stable then the pain medication will be addressed. I will see my doctor Monday or talk to him. I get so tired of all of this but the hills must be climbed. Until I know what I must do I will sit and rest where I am now and enjoy the view. This next weekend IF all goes well I will see my daughter. I wish I had someone in my HMO that knew me so they could help me. My long time doctor reatired just before the knee so my new doctor doesn't know me well yet. Well that is how life goes at time. this is just a bump in the road and I must accept it. Tashia
Dear Tashia,
Yikes you were having such a good and positive run there for a while. So sorry challenges have popped up. You are such a trooper, always getting back up after falling that I sure do hope you get your medication straightened out very soon. I am sending positive healing energy your way and lots of sunshine to try to replace some of the clouds
Thank you so much Cathy. Things were getting really bad with my head screaming so I called my HMO and a phone appoimtment was made of me. I wasn't expecting much of anything but I got a wonderful surprise. I found a doctor who not only listen but did something that has been needed to be done for quite sometime. Wow. Just that calmed me down. Monday I will go for some blood test and pick up a prescription. My first impression was great. I found a doctor to try to use for backup and maybe become my doctor. I want to be part of the discession being made. Tell what you are going to do and why so I can follow thru and if I need to talk to you I will know whats been done and why. My head is not screaming so bad right now. My knees are hurting thru and are very stiff. I must of overdone it. Oh well that is what ice is for. Boy talk about about a 90 degree turnaround. Thank God. Well now that I feel better I can join all of you that are having a good weekend. Everyone take care and do stay safe. Tashia back riding the internet.
Today has been a good day. I still am having very sad moments which is from the medication. I just have to ride it out, thats the way it goes. Finally surrender to having to take medication three times a day. I have come so far but I still have more to go. I really get down on weekends so I will have to take care of that. I could go for a little drive before I take the dose. This would be so good for the mind and spirt. I have a acuputure appointment again, It has helped me so much. Well I think I am back on the bike but must be careful. Everyone do take care and be careful not to get into pain. Remember if it hurts stop. Tashia
Tashia,
I was just checking in on you, and am so happy to see you found a Doctor who will listen, and meet your needs.
I could not drive very much for 6 months, I understand your frustration. You feel well enough to get out and cannot.
My vacation went very well, we went to Chicago, Indianapolis, and Louisville. I now have 5 more states (North Dakota, South Dakota, Arkansas Tennessee, and West Virginia), then I will have been to all 50 states. I am glad to be home.
Take good care!
Sorry you are feeling low TASIA. Sometimes that can be harder to deal with than the physical pain. A drive before a dose sounds great if you can do it. I feel for you honey. Hang in there ( I know you always do) and keep posting for yourself, that helps too. Sending happy thoughts , cathy
Thats all of you dropping by it helps me so much. I had a test and I am now heading in the right direction with my Cancer pills. Good to know that. At least its not getting worse. Also found something interesting out, My head has been buzzing for some time and te doctor said it was the medicane. Now I wonder. I have been taking my pain medicane 3 times a day and the buzzing and my blood pressure has gotten better so I also think it might be pain not quite controlled right. So this is good to know this. I don't need much but better spaced. At least I am heading in the right direction for that also. My conic pain is there but not to take over my life. one of my doctor wants me to go to classes for depression and I don't think she is getting the point. If you are depressed because of not having enough medication for Cancer prevenstion what good would anti-depressent do? I need to know that the medications isn't working and the thats when I get depressed. That tells me so why would I want to cover up my way of knowing that the medication is not working" I hope you understand what I am saying. Also having surgrey also causes depression. I am know taking so much medicaation that I fell like a pharmary store. I don't think taking lots of pills are the anzwer to everything. Getting back into life is the answer. Driving, sewing, travelling and being around people help more than take a pill and don't drive because of the side effects. Well I see I am ramblling. Everyone do take care. Have a good day. Tashia trying to get back on.
Pumkin, Thank you for telling me about the driving, it really helped. I do get so frustrated about it. My depression is what it is. My Cancer medication has to be taken in a special way and its diffucult to be able to take it. It has to be taken on a complete empty stomach. Since I am having stomach trouble and was told to not to keep it empty. It makes it interesting. And in the morning once a day. Then wait a hour and then eat something. Some days I can do other days I can't it depends on my stomach. When I started this advanture I already had stomach trouble but thought all the pain was hips and knees. The reason I am writting this is because I wonder how many others might be in the same trap. I don't mean the cancer but the stomach pain. Pain is ruff on the stomach and so is the medication that we take for the pain. I call it the double edge sword. Now I have notice that I am taking less and less pills my stomach is calming the pain is also calming down. I do know I will really have to have it checked after I am off them. The body is amazing when you stop and think about it. It took care of itself during all the moments of the surgies and afterwords went to work in healing the cuts and other injuries of the bones, muscles, etc. The body goes and makes sure it makes enough blood to replace what was loss. Also works on all the bruises, pulled muscles and not to forget all the vital organs work to get the body back in working order. Also starts cleaning up all the drugs that was pumped into the body during the operation and after. The brain processes the mass invation that the body had and knows that thinking positive is so important to heal the shock and wounds that the body received. I was told that when you have a major surgrey its take up to a year for the body to get all back in gear plus the healing that has to take place. So every morning I thank my body for all the work it did while I was sleeping and all the work it would do today. Do you thank your body for all the work it does during the day? I find if I do I have a better day. This is just a thought. Everyone take care and do have a good weekend for tomarrow is Friday and then the true weekend. Have a few minutes of just thinking of good thoughts if nothing else but WOW I was able to have a BM today. Take care Tashia Still trying to get back on
Tashia,
I do not have stomach pain, but for 10 years I have taken an asthma medication 2x a day on an empty stomach. I take it first thing in the morning, then wait an hour before eating, the second one at bedtime, at least 2 hours after my last meal. Frustrating to say the least. If I had an upset tummy, .
You are so right, our bodies are amazing how they can heal, while we try to take good care of ourselves, eating right keeping hydrated, and of course for us Bonesmarties resting, elevating, icing, and taking our pain medications.
Glad you were able to take care of your big job as my MIL used to say.
Tashia,
How was your weekend, cooler weather on the way. The heater is on for the first time here.
Take good care and let us know how you are doing.
This is how I am right now .
I survived boot camp. Now i made such a statement I need to explain. My daughter has a three story house and two flights of steps to take to get to the next level. When you do make the floor ,all rooms need to step up or down to get to the next room. She also has a 11 years cat who is totally deaf and when she doesn't see you coming she screams when she sees you. The cat favorite floor is the middle floor and so to get to the quest bedroom (basement) or bottom floor you had to make it pass her floor. Everytime she cried I flet so bad that I scared her but I had to get pass her to get to the food or sleep. The day I arrived I had my hair cut which I really like then took a nap, After the nap we went to dinner then to a concert. It was really good. After watching a movie feel asleep and sleep pretty good. The next day went to the ocean and walked in the sand. Love Seattle. Then went to on of the coolest sewing stores with fabic I have never seen before and got a kit from a desiner i have never meet. All shades of Fall, orange, yellow, brown. Then rest, dinner and hurt my knee. I couldn't beleive it. Its a little sore today and a little swollen. Oh I didn't finish Saturday. We went to a open house, the paintings were very calming and in Fall colors. Last night I got home and I was so tired I just went to bed. I took a easy today. No steps that goodness. Just sleep and rest. Looked at my new sewing kits and just cooled it. I hope everyone had a great weekend. the weather in Seattle was just wonderful. Tomarrow hope to get more stuff in storage and get my Winter closths out for colder weather. Everyone do take care and have a safe day. My daughter cat is also recovering from her stressful weekend from having company. Tashia
