TKR This time I am doing it right and having a blast

Tashia,
Boot camp sounds like it had it's ups and downs, no pun intended. Never could figure out the attraction of those up and down houses. Just glad to hear you got away, Seattle is beautiful. I bet kitty is glad you are home too.
Enjoy your new sewing kit!

Tashia....just catching up with your thread. It sounds like you had a great (but tiring) weekend. It's always good to see some new scenery and go to different places. Now you can chill out for a few days and then enjoy your new sewing kit! Hooray!!!

Hang in there, hon.....I think you're doing GREAT. Just think about how far you have come!

Jamie, This time I have come far. I just wish I could get thru the day without needing any pain medication. I do know I hardly take any but then I have to remember this has been over three year commentent. Not having to look forward to another surgrey sure makes one feel GREAT. Now to get my left knee down from swelling. Everyone have a good week. :puppysmooze: Tashia :bicycle1:

Today I found I needed more sleep than I thought, missed a meeting tonight which I really wanted to go but forgot. Feeling a little down tonight. Found out that the kit I bought doesn't have enough fabric. So very disappointing. Oh well I will have to take care of it.

Trying to get my medicane straight. I found that I had an axiety attack. My cancer medication isn't quite there yet. I will be so glad when it gets the right dose. My knee is so glad it hasn't had to do stairs today. Feel a little down. But it will pass. Everyone take care. Tashia

Today we got rain. Its so good to have cold weather again. Stil feel down, I think its all about me not be able to do what I want to do. I still relay on other people to take me places. I know this is my choice and I would make the same choice. Driving with pain pills is illegal and thats that. My kees are a little sore and I think it has to do with the weather. Was able to get out and got to go to a quilter store of course. Found out that there is a computer program for my mac for sewing. Have to look into it. I do hope that everyone had a good day. I hope tomarrow is good day for you and do take care. Tashia :bicycle1:

Today went to the doctor. He wants me to start working off one of the medication. The cancer medication I think is starting to work. Less nerves. Just turned on the heater and it does feel good to have it on. Sleep a lot this afternoon. The doctor is sending me to PT for my knees. Since it has turned cold he wants them to stay limper. Been spending a lot of time with my sewing. Was thinking today about how far I have come. My doctor was very pleased with how the knees look, no swelling on the right and a little on the left. With all this stuff befind me I feel I will be driving on regularly pretty soon. I see the light and its not a train. :rotfl: To be gradefull for the fact I can get up and walk. Not is concent pain. Not living just to take pain pills. Have many moments of being pain free without the use of pain pills. Can sleep thru the whole night. My house is almost all unpacked. Lost some weight and didn't even diet. Can travel again in a plane. I don't need a wheel chair to get me to the gate. Need to start driving more now that medication is reduced. So glad all the operations are over with. Need to feel free again. Can take many stairs. WOW Isn't life great. Its great to be alive in this time and place so i can be free from the pain that I had and got new hip and two new knees. I still haven't gotten names for them yet. It has been such a long time since I have flet so free. I still am tender but this is nothing compard to the way it was. I found that its ok to ask for help which is so new to me. To live in time that if we use our joints so much they need to be replaced we can. Then come here and meet the most wonunderful people who will support you in all your battles. I know this site is for knee and hip joints but I also know you all have supported me more in my battle with Cancer than any other sight. What can I say I feel home here and I fell this is my home on the internet. WOW what a gift. You are with me 24 hours a day if I need you and that is such a great gift. I have friends that are all around the world which makes the world so much smaller. We all are so lucky. I know there are people out there hurting and scared because of needing new joints. I wish there was a way I could tell you its ok to be afraid, scared and wondering if you are doing the right thing. I know the panic of it all but I also know coming here gave me the tools to get thru it. As I said I still have pain but all the surgrey is over for now and the hill is getting so small because I am almost to the top. Without your support this would not of happpened to be free, walk and be able to know there is a tomarrow and its not concent pain. I know there is nothing I can say or do to thank you for all the support. When I came here I didn't know how to use the inter-net but I did learn but still have far to go. I hope to come here and still be part of the family. Now I must go and get things done because it time for decoration for Holloween and welcoming of Fall. Everyone do take care and do be careful. :puppysmooze: Tashia :bicycle1:

A wonderful post Tashia. And you are so right that we have friends here scattered all across the world yet they all feel so close.

Tashia,
Happy to hear the cancer medication is working, and that your new joints are all making your life so much better.
Like you I am grateful to live in a time when there are replacements for worn out joints. Thanks for a great post.
Wishing you continued healing,

Tashia....what beautiful words. I can feel your joy. Your perspective on life is one we could all take a lesson from. I must say that your post brought me a few tears of joy for you and your progress. You are a shining star!!!

Tashia,
What a lovely post. I hope your life just keeps improving the way it has been, you certainly deserve it. Your support here means so much t all of us.

I have a suggestion for names for your knees and hip, You could name them after Donald Duck's nephews, Hewy, Dewy and Louie.

karmigirl, Thank you for the names, the only problem is they are now arguing over who get what name.:loll: You know how kids behave. :heehee: Thanks Jamie for the comment. I don't know being a shinning star but thank you. Pumkin, It is great to be able to get all the joints we need. This is such a neat sight and with all the help you find here I hope that all people could come before they get their surgies so that they have a good base to rich recover. this is my personal opion. I also realized that after I wrote about my Cancer problems, there are many places I go that don't want to help or support me. I guess it has to do with fear of the Cancer. I find that sad but that is the way it is. Everyone here has many problems and being free to talk about it helps in all the challenges we have. Everyone take care do be safe. Tashia

Tashia and Rose,
I am just glad we are not talking about naming them after the Three Stooges, Moe, Larry, and Curly.:rotfl:

Pumpkin, That was the only three I could think of so I'm glad I mentioned it. My medication is getting the pain and I am feeling better. A good cry also helps. I know this is just a slip but if we don't take changes we don't grow. I get so confused about medication especially pain meds. Before this is over I will have more knowledge I hope. Everyone take care and have a good week. Tashia

Went to the PT and found that I have over 120 ROM. YES, Way to Go. Now focus on strenthing the hips. Everyone take care and be safe. Tashia :bicycle1:
