I have a blocked salivary gland. May be caused by "the dry mouth" meds. Have to go back next week! Treat with moist heat, lemon water, hard sour candy! Pucker up!!

What a relief to know the cause. Hopefully it's not painful.
I actually like lemon water, warm or cold, do you? I've heard it helps in liver function (detox) as well as
being good for our skin!
So you'll be one hot mama with two shiny new hips, beautiful skin and an optimally functioning liver.

Great news....I'm so happy for you! I'll bet you do well.
You know both Gretel and Mojo (fellow bi-laterals) who are very active in the forum will
happily offer advice or encouragement if / when needed during your first days on your own.
We're all here to offer support just not all part of the Crazy Club! I say that in love, tongue in cheek.
Maybe I'm a little jelly I'm not as crazy....I mean courageous, strong and brave as the bi-laterals.
In all seriousness....Hats Off to you three. I can only try to imagine what you've triumphantly accomplished.

Bit early days for a treadmill. I would wait until after your followup visit with your surgeon. I was cleared to use a treadmill on slow, no incline at 6 weeks out. They are good if you have any issues with your gait.

Stop this crazy thing! Those living in the states, of a certain age, will get the visual.

At only 12 days out of bi-lateral THR that's waaay too ambitious in my scaredy cat opinion.

Seriously, my gait is so messed up! Wondered if this is something to look into. Walking in a Vermont winter is not the greatest. Especially with no sidewalks!! Nothing like you see in the movies!!! Lol

Yes I can see how walking outside could be a problem. I’m a bit spoilt here. Mostly I’m still concentrating as I walk. It still isn’t natural. If I’m out at the shops pushing a trolley helps me walk evenly. In the pool yesterday it was the most natural I’ve managed to walk so far.

I walked up and down the hall and all around the house. Only two weeks out bilateral babe. Know you are bored and if I stayed with mom, love her dearly and she came down and stayed with me two days, I'd be chomping at the bit too.
