Bilateral THR Thing 1 and Thing2'

@Layla As we discussed, I had a different type of procedure. Before the first round, my doc actually said that, not only does he not prohibit crossing your legs, he encourages it because it will stretch the piriformis and other muscles. He even awkwardly demonstrated a yoga pose (the one that looks like a 4) and suggests that patients practice it. Good thing - I have trouble sitting without crossing my legs!

Oh no :yikes:
Don't do it then.....does it hurt?

Wow @SaraK
Crossing legs encouraged?!! I get confused. So many conflicting opinions out there...

@Layla - Yeah, I'm not sure if its a reflection on this doctor and his protocols being different or a reflection on the differences in this procedure and risks of dislocation. Supposedly much lower risk of dislocation and muscles and joint capsule tend to be tighter in early days than with other procedures (which is part of the reason PT consisting of gentle stretching is recommended from day 2 post op).

It's amazing. I can only imagine the progress they'll make over the next ten yrs.
You know we're going to be telling our grandkids....."Back when I had my hip replacement".....

@Berber7227, even though I had a single hip, ankle crossing was not comfortable in the beginning. As time went by it just started happening naturally. One day I suddenly realized I was sitting with left leg crossed over right and no pain. Your bodywill let you know when it is ready.

Really not good for circulation either. I catch myself doing it all the time but try not to.

White Christmas?

So cute - is there a pattern? I have so many bits and pieces of yarn lying around and this would be a cute thing to do with them.

Hi @Berber7227 You have a pretty view! Even in the snowy cold.
It's the same here. Snow on the ground and a chilly 24 degrees.
Those little sheep are cute. Whole lot of wrapping going on. How long does each one take to make?
Hope you have a nice day....stay warm!

@SaraK I cut sheep shape from cardboard. Paint legs and head black. Apply double sided tape to each side of body. Wind with yarn!!
@Layla this is watching TV, Dr office wait project, have never timed how long it takes!

So the first thing I have to do is figure out how to draw a sheep - there goes that project! Guess I'll stick to crocheting. This is a blanket I made for my son's bed.

Six weeks is still really good after what you’ve been through. Sheep are cute. Don’t know if we will have any snow to mentioned. Just getting a few little bursts. Looks beautiful up there.

Good news on the doctor appt today @Berber7237
Sorry about work, it sounds as though you're anxious to get back.
Just think of all the sheep you can make.......
Aaaahhhh, they'll take over your sofa, bed, fridge, car.....:holysheep:

Sheep are adorable...neat project.
:holysheep:
Muscles could be tight due to over activity?
(Oh my stars...there she goes again)

What a lovely view, @Berber7227 . I miss snow, especially this time of year. I still find Xmas in 40 degrees weird (I was born in Germany, but have been away for a long time now).
On the work side of things, do you have the option of working from home at all? I can't remember what you said you do... Yay for the good doctor visit!
