Bilateral THR Thing 1 and Thing2'

But I thought you were already driving - just doing it with permission now?

Not driving! Not until I get home! Still doing the "Driving Miss Holly" staying tonight at Mom's, appointments today and tomorrow. Mom is happy, I can drive myself!!

Isn't it the most liberating feeling? I never could understand why both of my boys were reluctant to start driving. There's a WORLD out there waiting for you!

Glad you can drive now. It’s a brilliant milestone :) :-) (: Are your thigh muscles really tight? That’s where I’m really feeling it and what’s causing trouble with my walking.

@Gretel Thighs are pretty tight. Getting better. Working on hamstring. Dr was upset yesterday that I could not put my foot on the other knee. Told me to step up PT. Working on getting a stationary bike! Walk with no help!

@Berber7227 You may find that one leg takes longer to get foot on opposite knee than the other leg --- at least that's what happened for me. Left on right took about 3 months, right on left almost 9 months. Just depends on how out of shape the muscles are in each leg. Slow and steady that's the way to go. You do not want to strain any of those muscles too badly as that will slow things down.

I drove today!? Was afraid right leg would not work, but all went well. Did 3 quick errands. I just might make a few craft shows this weekend!!

Good job! Will help your sense of independence. I would tell you to not hit too many of the shows, but I somehow think you will do what you are going to anyway! Just be safe.

@MammaT There are only two shows this weekend. I am not selling at shows this year. Want to say, Hi, to my show friends!

:hi: @Berber7227
:wowspring:Lots of good news!
Do I smell the burning of the compression socks, bonfire style, from over yonder...:heehee:
And driving now too.....yay!
Try not to overdue when you hit the shows this weekend to see friends.
Wishing you a great weekend Berber. You're doing great and you've been such a trooper :loveshwr:

I’m feeling it down the front. The muscles there have been very tight for years. I was always in a lot of pain if I had a massage and they touched the front of my thighs. I must have been walking wrong for a long time. So now I’m trying to move correctly. It feels odd and tires me. At least now I know.
Glad you can discard the dreaded socks!! No way could I have put my foot to knee at your stage. I can do it now.

Thigh muscle pain very prevalent up to 4 months for me...I have quad pain now WHEN I OVERDO.
See a pattern here??
Step up PT, step up pain.
That's how I see it.
Legs are injured, not weak.
Aggravating them is not going to help!
You are smart, you'll figure it out or possibly cause chronic problem.
Don't forget the BIG TIP.
Worry about you my bilateral friends.
Know what I'm doing now?:chuckmarch:
Doesn't hurt at all....as long as I don't overdo.
Can take up to ONE year or longer for all to heal.

Wow I haven’t been able to put my foot on my knee for years. Seems like Dr wants a lot shortly after Bilateral.
Maybe I’m wrong I also have knee issues.

Hope you know I just want All to be well with you...

When driving yesterday, had a heck of a time getting seat adjusted! So many adjustments, you do not think about! Maybe my next car will be less expensive, will not need 10 way seat adjust! Only available on high end package!! Lol
