Glad to hear things are going well Cappy and all the best with the family tree.
I am going to get my family tree done eventually and always hoped someone famous would be there further down the line.
Do you ever watch that [who do you think you are] think some of the programmes are really interesting.
That's a stoater of an avatar by the way.:th_heehee:

Cheers Billy.

I came across my great great grandfather today. He was an architect and the burgh surveyor for Ayr. This is him ....

I do watch that program. The Richard Madeley one last night was interesting but I can't stand the man so found it difficult to watch.

All architects dress like that - I know I do!!!!

Really interesting to find out about our ancestors - its what has made us who we are.

Yes Dave, we are the sum of our ancestors.

Hey we are both getting close to surgery day now. Don't know about your lead up, but I am looking forward to time off and an excuse to rest... Not the best way to use up leave though! But sure to be worth it in the end.

Cheers

Looks a rather well to do gentleman if you ask me Cappy, posh :what:

And in the words of my mother must have be a [high heed yin] can just see our fellow bonsmarties saying what is he slavering about. :th_heehee:

Billy

Sure my keyboard is playing up starting to stick, that's [must have been]

Forbsey, I know what it means. I spent most of the first two years of my life in Colinton Mains, and learned how to talk there. Unfortunately I have never managed to learn how to listen, according to spouse, G. My brother was born there, Redford Barracks and wanted to play Fitba' for Scotland but failed to meet the not very exacting standard required.

He did become high heed yin at a building society, though. Well, a branch.

Lang may your lum reek, Alan

I am so intrigued with the Scottish sayings, have no idea what they mean, but love them. Hubby and I spent the most fabulous four days in the Borders at a place called St Mary's Loch - ah they were the days. :sigh:

That's it - injection number 42 of 42! And surgeon tomorrow for six week check up.

Smja - "lang may yer lum reek" means "long may your chimney smoke". "broken link removed: https://www.thedialectdictionary.com/view/letter/General+Scotish/5348/" or "Heid bummer" is the boss, person in charge.

Alan, I'll ignore your cruelbut unfortunately accurate comments jibe about Scotland's football prowess. I'm not smarting about losing the rugby on Saturday. Nope, no siree Bob, not at all.

Billy, I think he was a man of means. Don't know where it's gone though!

Oh is that what it means! I've always wondered.

Cappy that has to be a BoneSmart first - taking a photo of your last jab! :hysterical:

Just back from my 6 week surgeon's review.

All went well - all restrictions removed!

He used a DePuy Corail ceramic implant with a DePuy Pinnacle ceramic in titanium cup. Is that not one of the more troublesome combos?

Anyway, I see him again in January for x-rays.

:yes 4: Sounds like you had a great followup Cappy! No jogging just yet though, right? :th_heehee:

Good report Cappy! Hope physio will strengthen you, and you'll be on your way (another vacation?).

glad youre check up went so well Cappy, remember to take it easy still though

Tanny x

Another good report

Very encouraging.

Have you found more discomfort in you first hip during this recovery period as it must be taking more of the strain?

I assume that when the newer hip strengthens up everything comes back into balance

All the best with the physio

That is right, weebles wobble but they don't fall down !! Good thing they don't.

Get your muscles strong now. My PT is all done now and I try to keep up with some on my own, but when I work all day, last thing I want to do is go home and do my exercises.

Dave - I don't know about Cappy, but I didn't feel more discomfort in my first hip during the second recovery and mine was 3 months apart.

Dave, my first hip has been OK. The only issue I've had is that I haven't been weight bearing so haven't been able to improve my ROM.

My physio's already said that she'll be working on them both once she gets the OK - which she now has.
