@tiredwife I am thrilled to hear he is in recovery and now can start his final recovery. Just remember to take care of yourself and tell steve elevate that leg from the ceiling. :heehee: h does not want me to share elephant legs. remember am thinking of you guys and still :prayer:

@tiredwife tell him awesome for sitting up in chair already----- he is going to have another awesome recovery, you take care of yourself too--- remember to eat something and relax!!!!

@tiredwife guess she showed him who i boss :heehee: and he probably can't get his favorite shows but its one more step to recovery he can get back at me when I have my second :rofsign:

Back in bed for dinner and 2 percoset. Has femoral block with pump. Wasn't hungry but I made him eat most of his meat for protein. They bring me meals too for $4.00

@madinana PT is a tiny little oreiental woman. Been doing this for a long time. She is good. Everyone loves her.

So he had a spinal, said he woke up for a second, saw the surgery light and drifted back off. Has femoral block (self medicated) Percoset when wanted, foot pump thingees, cathater, IV antibiotics, and our ice machine. He can have flexeril if the muscles spasm. Of course the little lung exerciser. Nurses are in here all the time - @madinana I might have to hide the nurse bait!:rotfl: - He hasn't even drifted back to sleep since they brought him to his room. His throat was a little sore for about an hour - mints helped. He has had lunch and dinner - appetite already leaving him. Sat in a recliner for about 1 1/2 hours. Wiggling toes and ankles. Storm moving in! We have nice big windows to watch it, and a view of the fountain. Will post photos tomorrow. Think we will try to sleep after the shift change. Night all!

Had to check in to see how things are, happy to read the posts!!! Was thinking of you both today!!!

So glad things went well! I bet you are both glad that the surgery is finally behind him. Hope you get a little sleep tonight. Sending you healing wishes and caregiver strength. Christie

@tiredwife ... So glad to hear hubby seems to be doing so well so soon. Now don't forget to take care of yourself too. That's great they bring you meals for $4 ... you probably couldn't make one at home for that. Thinking of you both and hoping his recovery is unremarkable and moves quickly. Hugs ... Ellen

Happy to hear the surgery went well and he is now in recovery. Good luck with everything!

@tiredwife
Glad to hear that all has gone well for both of you. I really can't imagine having a second TKR within 6 weeks of the first or those that have BTKRs- you are a very special group and deserve great recoveries because of the additional surgery.
If you were 'tired wife' after the first LTKR, you will need to mind yourself also in helping your husband with the second RTKR.
Find some time for yourself to rest & elevate!!!

Thinking of you both with warm thoughts and :prayer:

May you both have a good first night post-op.

Cathie x
