Revision TKR Story of My Knees by RestAssured: Pt 3

Sonja,

I have had several stitches that have worked thier way to the surface. First one was at about 6 weeks. I called doc office and was told to pull tight and snip close to the skin. Apparently all the stitches are supposed to be disolvable but they do take some time to disolve and if they are exposed to air they are less disolvable. I haven't had one work its way up to the surface since about week 8. Katie did the right thing, try not to fiddle with it, your skin will eventually cover over it.

Chris, Katie did a great job of cutting the suture close to the skin. The skin sucked it right back down and now I can't fiddle with it to do my own "operation!"

Of course I would never do that, I was just thinking about if I could! :heehee:

Sonja, You my dear ARE the most smartie of ALL the BoneSmarties!!:friends: I love your SHY ways and Quick wit! What you did to that poor unsuspecting doctor:rotfl: probably set him back for many years, and he'll probably tell that story and how you got him many, many times! Don't loose that sense of humor and oh yes, please give my reguards to you mom, she certainly has a pip on her hands!

Love ya, Judy

Jacky,

Thank you for your kind words! I shall take "pip" as a compliment!:heehee: My mother said that when they first had Deanna, they thought "wow, what a perfect baby!" Sleeps through the night, isn't fussy, and loves to be held or is content just being in her crib..... Then three wondrous years later:happydance: they had their second girl and her name was Sonja! She was and is the complete opposite of her older sister! At the age of 1 I had a pop glass bottle and climbed over the crib rails and fell to the floor chipping a tooth. They knew when I was born that I wasn't quiet , but after that there was no stopping me!:rotfl: (Funny thing though, I guess they liked me so much that that after that Mom had her tubes tied!) I think it was because they had really found perfection when they had me!:rotfl: Mom doesn't tell the story exactly the same way, but I believe that this is the case.:heehee:

Sonja, you are so right! Our parents think they know what's good for them until we set them straight! And you my dear have done a great job right from the start! :heehee: AND "perfection" you are! Keep on go'n on!

A "pip" is a compliment, because if you can keep having a bright outlook after all you've been through than you have what it takes to be the best child a parent could want! You broke the mold! :thumb:

Jacky I don't know if you like skiing or not but BJ has rented the whole ski lodge and it has a big fireplace that Janet and KayeKaye can sit in front of, with their snuggly blankets and hot chocolate! So if you like to look at snow but don't want to be in it you are invited to the indoor party! BJ is sparing no expense for her friend and she said I could invite as many Bone Smarties as I would like to the party!

By the way let me share some great news about my modest friend BJ. She would never tell you all she is doing for me since I am her new best friend so I will! She is going to rent a 4 wheel drive Hummer for me all winter and she is buying a snowmobile that has an enclosed cab, with a heater so I can go around picking up "stuff" in style! I will have a wagon attached to the back for all of the parts that I find.

We will have around the clock entertainment because some Bone Smarties can't sleep so BJ agreed to fly in top quality entertainment! Be sure to put the name of the entertainer on this post by the 15th of August so BJ can get started on that!
Also for any of our friends that have food allergies or are just plain picky,:heehee: send your requests in care of BJ and she will take care of that angle! She has hired a private chef and he needs this info also so lets get those requests into her!
Now if you would like a special outfit, Rose in the person to contact! She is the fashion designer and she is charging nominal fees in care of BJ.
Also people, (I hate to remind you, but this is important, get the bubble wrap to BJ! She told me she was feeling down because only 100 people so far have responded to her pleas! Let's help her out and set a goal of 50,000 pounds of bubble wrap! I think that ought to do it!:happydance:

Awwww thanks Jacky! I am very shy after all, and I just love having fun! Mom has been so good to me, and I miss my Dad so much! He was 52 when he passed away from Brain Cancer, and little things pop up and remind me of him. My relatives say I have his sense of humor but I have no idea what they are talking about!

Well just goes to show that Katie has your number as well as most of your friends on this board.
Good thing is you are as transparently troublesome as they come:flwrysmile: Yep you are positivly predicatable in your surprisingly Sonja way. We know you will always make us smile.

Chris O
PS: I suspect your gaurdian angel wears body armor, and looks like James Bond (Sean Connery version!)

Where is Sean Connery? Did you say he is coming to my house?!!:happydance:

Oh I guess I should report something about my knee!:rotfl: We can see the kneecap on one side now! The swelling has gone down so much from the lymph edema treatments that the outline is coming into view!:happydance:

Awe Sonja, you are a sweetheart for extending the ski invitation to me! BJ is a great person for asking you for your help in filling her guest list!
However, I don't do skiing, but I do do Chippendales and fireplaces with wine on the side! :snork: So if there is room inside with Janet & kayekaye I would like a snuggly blanket for two (you did say Chippendales would be there right?) and some wine if possible! :egypdance:

As far as an outfit, tell Rose she can take a break because I will bring my own outfit, I have a good one although it's a little wrinkled but I've had it since birth and have grown very fond of it! :heehee:

Thanks again for the invitation and I'll see you there! :friends:

Your mom does sound like a good person and she obviously cares very much for you. I'm sure your dad looks down on you and says, "That's my girl" every time you make a joke! I could just imagine what he was thinking when you were in that doctor's office.

:yay:

Jacky,

Well, after discussing the matter with BJ, she said she would be happy to pay for some fine wine also! Her generousity knows no boundaries, when it comes to making people happy. She also said that the ski lodge that she has reserved for the winter has a huge Olympic swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna! Maybe we can convince the Chippendale dancers to swim with us! :) Now, I am om on ski and rescue patrol, but I'm sure they can fend for themselves for a while because I know y'all will need me as a lifeguard! :rotfl:

Well, if Katie hadn't found the suture in the first place....... :rotfl:

Oh, I'll need you as a lifeguard for sure since my knees are still very young and we never know when they'll buckle while in the water having loads of fun! Thanks for the offer, I hope the ski and rescue team can spare you. ;)

Jacky,

I love your sense of humor also! I love to laugh and I know that even though not all my days are bright and sunny, I hope that I can bring laughter to someone else's day!

God has been so good to me! I love life, and having fun is part of the package! :happydance:
