TKR Second time lucky for LTKR

I have a staged return, I am in Wednesday through Friday too but over 90% of the office is away. If my knee was better would organise cricket in the boardroom.

I have a physio appointment tomorrow. Thats it. They will check me over and go through exercises but I won't see them again unless I see the doctor with additional issues.

My only concern at the moment is the physio may stretch my knee and split the wound again.

Well, went to get the dressing changed and my leg looks great. No leakage at all and it looks a lot pinker.

Still concerned about physio tomorrow but am prepared to stand my ground if I think they are pushing it too much.

Also the surgeon saw I was in and came to see me while I was with the nurse and made lots of approving noises and comments so really pleased!

I can't speak highly enough of Ramsey health in Milton Keynes and at the Horton Treatment Centre in Banbury. Staff have been exceptional across the board.

I only meant that the part of your incision that had been wet and looked like it had been underwater for a week or two was icky. :snork:

And I can't believe that it takes over 3 hours public transportation to get from Bletchley House (your neck of the woods) to Sudeley Castle !!!

Went to physio and all went fine. 120 degrees without tearing my scar. Last appointment completed.

Asked for a second opinion and she said i had a great tan

All good with Nick :)

Yay! What a great report! And now done with PT and no splitting. Things are looking so good for you! You luck on your work day. Remember to veg out when you get home!

Reclined and chilling as we speak.

I may be an impatient patient but I can chill with the best of them

Have I mentioned my "Golden Blanket Award" for sleeping?

If anyone can ace a recovery, it’s a guy with a Golden Blanket Award. :heehee:

That really is a great report!

I was pleased too. I think the whole thing has gone really well so far (touch wood).

I am aware that I need an LTKR at some point in the future though so wonder if i am setting myself up for a fall as it were, I can't be this lucky twice

Yes, you can! Especially if you are as reasonable with that one as you are with this one.

Of course you can be “ lucky” twice. My husband had his knees done separately, and was very successful. Had the same OS.

I couldn't agree with you more! When you find a good OS you don't want to leave them!

I‘m counting on being just as lucky second time around. So should you! Sounds like a great recovery!

My left is pretty good. Very little pain, and i‘ve been noticing that when I sit, it seems to bend almost normally. Today I drove for 2 hours and my knee felt pretty good. My flexion might be 110, but that‘s ok. It‘s improved in the last few weeks.

I have a hypertrophic scar, but it‘s not painful. Not as attractive as I might hope, but it should get better.

Can‘t really complain.
