Ouchy, that sounds scary. Was it just a pop like the joint bones pop, or a pop like a rubber band snap or a pop like a tendon snapping across the joint?
Be careful, don't break anything and give yourself a set back. Slow and easy remember.

How are you feeling today?

it was like a rubber band type of pop, above the knee by the thigh....last night was a bit rough, my whole body was achy, not just my knee but my other knee, lower back and ankle...finally had to take a muscle relaxer and was able to sleep..the LAST thing I need is my back freezing up and giving me fits...this morning it is a bit sore, nothing out of control..I have a doc appt today so we will see what he has to say...no PT today, but I do have a pup to walk, which I am looking very forward to doing...no damage was done to the knee yesterday so that is good....We shall see how the day goes!

Pup walk will be better for you than Dr appt - LOL... sorry to hear about your aches and pains - hope you got sorted and got some sleep - Maggie x

Back from the doc....said I was progressing nicely..told me that he got my knee to go completely flat during my MUA..He said to just keeping doing PT and working on my ROM..he said his goal for my ROM is 110-115....he said he would be happy with that...I didn't have a ton of ROM before the surgery...so that is about it...I am sore today and he said that they popping sound we heard in PT was definitely scar tissue being broken up...checked out the leg and did some stress tests on it, everything looks good...will see him in 8 weeks!!!!

Good news! So glad it was just scar tissue.

Me too Pax! It was kind of scary..but now at least I know what to expect if it happens again..he said I wasn't going to damage the replacement so its ok to push it a little bit...I won't push it til Im in severe pain, but I will push it and work with it until I feel a good amount of discomfort...Im ready for this knee to NOT be the center of my life any longer!

I wish they had something they could inject to soften scar tissue. This do it the hard way takes forever. I am not going to try to make mine pop. I'm a chicken when it comes to
Pain

Hi that was really interesting my physio told me that Mua cannot flatten leg only work on the bend that there is no help to get it flat except doing the exercises and also adding some pressure
Glad your knee is ok that sounded scary

My husband is my knee and leg massager he massages it's the length of front and back and gives extra time to knee and behind it I am finding it helps me sleep at night it is far more relaxed I find it's a great addition to recovery

Homeport, my OS said that is the 1st thing he checks before he does the MUA, he checks to see if he can flatten the knee/leg completely, since Im already asleep and totally relaxed...I haven't gotten it to 0 yet but am working on it daily.....

That is such promising news mine is not flat either I ha e an hour assessment with hospital physio Monday so will talk to them about it

@Spencieca - I just saw your Badge of Honor picture. Your scar looks great! Was your incision glued? I didn't see any of the side dots from staples and the scar is very thin & uniform. Mine is not nearly so "pretty"!

Thanks Pax! I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up from surgery and didn't have a bandage or anything..just a glued leg !

That is so cool! I woke up with enough staples to hold the Grand Canyon together.

Oh, hey, after I had that weird pinching sensation followed by a POP the other day, my leg has much smoother motion, feels better too... Hope yours is the same.

I been just rubbing across my scar. PT was great today. ROM 0/120

I had 31 staples. Lot of bleeding on the bottom for the first two weeks.
