Some days are like that :yes:
But no fair bragging about your warm weather while many are immersed in winter. Sooooo not fair.
 
Rickster , hows it going? So if the big race is tomorrow than what race was today that Smith won ? Than they had few scrapes after the flag ? Hope all is well. Took shower last night upstaires . Slept in my bedroom last night . Slept like a baby. But I got out of bed 10 minutes before my med time . Whew !!! Pain from sleeping all night and the usual morning stiffness x3. Lesson learned . Dont get out of bed in the morning right before med call. Whats been up ??

Today was the Nationwide race . It used to be the Busch Series .

Glad you finally got a shower and to sleep back in your bed . I'm kinda blah today . My problem with sleeping is staying asleep . I normally sleep on my left side but my knee won't let me get comfortable on that side . I guess because it's the hanging knee then . I'm on strictly acetaminophen now . I'll take 2 before bed then maybe 1 or 2 during the day . Other than that pain is not a problem .

We go to a community breakfast here every other Saturday that begins at 0800 . It's only $3 and it's put on by volunteers and is just a good time to get together and visit with others . After that we came home and Claudia went shopping with some friends and Luci and I planted ourselves in my recliner . Luci is our 11 year old Shih Tzu .

We bought some film to put over a few windows where the sun glares in real bad in the afternoon . I guess I'll have to get started on that tomorrow or Monday .

I see Dale Jr pulled it off yesterday. Thats cool . Ive been taking it easy. You must be close to 4 weeks. Way to go . Weather didnt get too bad , did it ? You were AWOL yesterday but I understand ,NASCAR. How many more OPT do you have left ? Well Rick take care !
 
I'm jealous! We had surgery on the same day and my ROM is still maybe 80 on a good day...extension 7-10. Sigh. I start outpatient PT sometime this week and a bit nervous about it. I hover on this fence that says "do more! you are tightening up!" on one side then "it hurts because you overdid it, silly!". You are so fortunate to be doing so well. Best....

Yea, I kept a low profile yesterday . I did get the last excursion for our Alaska vacation booked . We get to fly all the way around Mt McKinley and land on a glacier .

All we got was rain yesterday . The humidity is up today and so is my swelling but nothing I can't handle so I'm just chillin today . PT again tomorrow afternoon . Here is what it looks like at the 4 week mark .

I have officially graduated from my walker to a cane . When I went for PT today I saw my OS in the hall . I told him I was only using my walker when I came there . He asked how long ago surgery was and I told him 4 weeks . He told me to tell my therapist to move me to the cane . We went shopping before PT so I got in plenty of walking exercise today plus my PT .

Thats one heck of a leg !! You wont have a scar , when all is said and done. I still need my walker in the morning and if I rest for multiple hours ,the first few steps can certainly grab your attention. So I need my walker. When im all loose and comfortable I can walk with no aid but it looks bad !! Well Rick , keep it up , you are doing very good. Where is your cruise gonna take you ? How many days ?

Alaska northbound out of Vancouver then 6 day land tour to Talkeetna , Denali and Fairbanks .

PS... I had to take 2 Tylenol today but not for my knee . My butt is getting sore from so much setting in my recliner .

Nothing new to report on my end . I have some swelling but very little if any pain . I'm using my cane most of the time . Sleep is getting easier with the help of Tylenol PM type meds . We're having a Mardis Gra party at the club house tonight . My wife is making the red beans and rice for it . I'm thinking of taking a bottle of wine to wash it down .

I took legal moonshine instead of wine . No pain tonight .
