Thanks Tashia, Dawn, and Bottomshollow for your support!
My husband says you can say almost anything as long as you have a  on your face.

Success!!
OS was very forthcoming about too large implant. I was between sizes and he felt the smaller size would subside, causing other problems. He even drew a little diagram for me. He agreed that the patella may need resurfacing at some time, but since I am getting better and have good function to wait and let my knee heal.
I am pleased to have the information I went in for, I just wish he had been this forthcoming earlier in this process.
Thank you for everyones support it is much appreciated.

Pumpkin, I am so happy for you. I knew you could do it. Well now thats out of the way, you can continue to do recovery. :spin: With the great weather you can have some fun outside. Got to drive today.:yay: My friend dropped her phone on the parking lot and I guess in backing out of my place I missed running over it. Thank Goodness. Have been busy working on my patterns books. :yes!: Feel pretty good today, I think I'm starting to come out of feeling down. Have a good week and be safe. :puppysmooze: Tashia :bicycle1:

Thanks for you support Tashia,:thankyou:
I have been pleased with myself all day:egypdance: . Glad to have the appointment behind me, enjoyed the nice weather the rest of the day.
Good to hear that things are looking up for you, close call with the cell phone on the ground, whew!
Enjoy the good days, more good days than not so good days is a grand thing.

Great news Pumpkin! Now you have eliminated the elephant in the room and can have a constructive conversation with your OS when you need to. It sounds like it went as well as it could have.

I hope you continue to recover and see progress. The future is unclear at present, so day by day, go slow and hope for the best!

Be well,

Dawn

Good day, I was able for the first time in 3 years to attend the Great Reno Balloon Race! My TKR may not be perfect but is is so much better than a year ago. Thursday will be my one year anniversary, I could hardly walk around the house, let alone around all the beautiful balloons.:spin:

Congrats Pumpkin, glad you were able to do something so fun!! Let's hope its the first of many!

And congrats on your almost one year anniversary! It goes so fast, and at times feels like we're never going to improve. Glad we are both seeing better days!

Be well my friend,

Dawn

Pumpkin lets don't think about getting back to reality until we really have too.

Just came over to say Hi. Last week was really fun. Hope you had a good weekend and a good week.

Thanks Tashia!
We did have a fun birthday week for our new joints! If only we could do half of what we did in our virtual party.:yay:
My TKR continues to settle down, still have pain around the knee cap, so am thinking that having it resurfaced will help. The other pain from the foot injury, and around the overhang may or may not be helped by knee cap resurfacing.
Go to the OS at the end of the month, will see what he says.
Have a good week!

Pumpkin, Please keep me posted on the foot. I will have postive thoughts all months for the foot. Take care and do have a fun week.

I also injured the muscle and nerve up to my knee, it is slowly getting better. Today my neighbor said I was walking better. Great to have someone else notice.
Took a drive and went out to lunch today before getting my car smogged, beautiful warm day for a ride.
Have a good day, and continued healing.

It is good to have other comment because its hard to see your walk. I finally got some gas for my car. I put in 8 gallons and got a full tank. It wasn't empty but now it has a full tank. We will see how long it takes to use it up. It was a beautiful day. I also had a great day.

Tashia, Hope you are having a good day!
Went in for nerve conduction studies today on my left leg to see what is going on with the peroneal nerve and the tibial nerve. I have numbness in the areas that those nerves serve. The numbness is mostly bothersome and funny feeling, not painful. When he tested behind the head of the fibula I about went through the roof.:gaah:
Good news the nerves are intact and show no signs of degeneration. The physiatrist said he felt the nerves were inflammed. He wants me to stay on Celebrex 200mg, and ice often, he also said if I like he could give me a course of neurontin to calm the nerves down. I told him I wanted to research the neurontin.
I go back to the new OS who ordered the tests the first week in October.
Treated myself to an iced Americano on the way home to soothe my nerves.:heehee:
