Yeah! these beds are not comfy at all---hard and hot. Makes you want to get better sooner so you can get home. Glad you insisted on getting a change of meds for your pain. And "to glasses of pruning juice" :rotfl: . I just love these drug induced funnies.

Take care Randy, and post when you're able. We care.

Yep, the beds suck! But not so bad once your pain is properly managed - and then you'd be able to sleep on a rock LOL. Good on you for making sure you get what you need! :thumb: Keep up the good work!

Okay got my meds corrected on 10 mg perco stool softener pan is okay about a 3 got to stand to use the bathroom woo hoo stand feels great restrictions 50% walker 90 ans crossing legs

so happy to hear you are up and dancing!!!!! best wishes for a better day every day.

Talked with henutseabout my one am pain pill, stated that wanted it so that i dont fall behind on my meds. She agreed. People here are nice.

Congratulations :) I hope things get better and you are out of pain! Darn meds! Can't wait to hear how Day 1 post op goes.

Very important to get your meds protocol well and truly worked out early in your recovery... Break through pain is not good.

Oh my goodness these beds really suck. All the CNAs and RNs that i have worked with have been really nice. Thank goodness no pain pain just discomfort at the surgery site.

Yes they do randy62... Do you know when you are going home?

randy62 I am happy for you on the recovery side. Your job now is resting and healing. I hope you get home soon so you can sleep in your own bed away from the hospital brick beds.

Take care randy62! I hope you find something that works well for the pain . Kind of critical for healing. Affection from loved one is very good therapy! :thumb: Can't remember whether you had posterior or anterior approach. Sending good vibes your way!!

Pt this afternoon, not bad not great but not bad. Took my perc at 9 am had pt at 1 pm so i called early so that i could get my perc before pt. RN said it was to early, i told her that dr's orders were every 4 hours and if she thought for one moment that i was going to do pt without my meds she was not thinking correctly. After the med correction yesterday, i told her that i was not going to do pt until i had my meds. I also told her that because of the delay in getting my meds that if i got any break through pain i was going to be a less then happy camper. I dont think that I will be getting a Christmas card from her this year. Oh well first unfriendly nurse so far. But I can understand her view point also. Peace be with you.

randy62 Yep I had just one nurse like that too. Rang the buzzer to get up to use bathroom....she comes in and says "again?" There's always one. But the rest were amazing.

Once I knew I could get up and get to the bathroom on my own, I never bothered to call them again. They never got there in time when I did call, so by the time they got there I was already in the bathroom. They didn't like it, but I told them I was not waiting around and wetting myself because when I had to go, I had to go right then and not 5 or 10 minutes later:heehee: . I mean they pump all that liquid in your system---and I have found that what goes in must come out!

Good on you randy62 for standing up for what you need to stand up!! :thumb: Some of my nursing staff seemed a bit oblivious too....maybe not downright nasty, they just seemed....indifferent? Anyway, great to see you taking ownership of your recovery! It's yours and deserves to be the best it can be. Take care!

Woo hoo day 2 and posted first pic of my scar.
