Congratulations on making it to the other side randy62! Sounds like you are totally taking control of your healing - good for you! :thumb:

Discharge date, will be discharged today if everything goes according to plan. Two more PT sessions and 1 Ot session today. Then the door

Congratulations randy62!!! How's your mobility? Are you able to put weight on? Pain levels okay? You must be happy to be on the other side now, onward and upward :) Always nice to see our faithful fur friends.

I am moving okay, but just found out that my bed moves also almost had a heart attack. Thank God for Sue being there saved my butt from falling. I love you dear. Walking is no problem my leg feels dead weight. Have feelings all the way up but some swelling i am enjoying walking with no pain

Furniture moving on you is always a scary thing! Great to hear your news! Home fast too :) you any tips for us heading into this? Are you walking with crutches or walker?

Congratulations on a major milestone... Going home :)

randy62 Have you found a way to stop your bed moving? It must have been a scary moment. The lead leg doesn't last long, with my right it was about a week and the left a few days. Remember ice for the swelling.

randy62 I have to ask. Why does your bed move? And I will agree the heavy leg doesn't last long.

Upstater it is not suppose to move the legs just won't lock. That is okay one of the nice things of ordering a high end bed is you call the company up and say hey WTH and why did you give us the tall legs? So we ordered the shorter legs and they will come along and install them for us. It is little stuff like that, that you don't notice you dont notice until something like this comes along.

randy62 Well that makes sense. They day of your surgery all I could think of was how you were going to talk them into letting you participate in your own surgery lol. You got past the control issue I take it?

randy62 I am late in coming to your thread. I have just read your so far recovery story. It's great to return home after surgery so you can relax and nap when you need to. It sounds like you have good support with your wife taking care of you. Just don't over do it in these first days, give your hip a chance to heal and that does take time no matter how well you may feel.

sandybeach yeah I know but i am just itching to get on with life. Thanks for the reminder to slow down and smell the flowers, we all need that once in awhile.
Upstater i think it was planned out in advance, because the nurse said it was time and my S use said let's pray nurse asked if she could join in Sue said the prayer gave me a kiss and the next thing i know is that i am waking up. Could not have gone any better.

Sleepless nigh tonight, even after ambien hmm?

So hang around with me randy62, I am in a different time zone, so will be around for a while :)
