Psychteach - I am so happy you are doing well, even with the hiccups. LOL - " the most nervous member on the board". So not sister. I don't post on the boards all the time, as for some reason, I get anxious...makes everything more real? But, I'm sure the sooner I get to my date I will be much more involved. But, I probably am just as nervous (I actually think more) than you...were. Isn't that great to say ... were!!! So, happy for you that this is over and you can begin your recovery. Please post...even the most minute of things...it really helps those of us who are just starting out on this journey. Sometimes I think I am even more anxious about the recovery than I am with the surgery....

Sending you warm hugs and blessings....

:happydance:Yay! It's over! Stay on top of your pain ( PRN means "as needed" so you have to ask- even though I knew that, my brain forgot to ask on my surgery night). Life will be so much better without the "old" pain. Best of recovery wishes!

Oh Jen. You sound so good! Time to relax, take your meds, and ice. That's all there is to "worry" about now. Hugs, Jackie❤️

@psychteach YAY!!! I just got on line and saw your post. You're on your way - it's done. Sorry to hear about your glitches but happy to see you are taking it all in stride. I know in my case I was sure I could handle anything after the darn surgery was over-just get me out of the OR. I think we are alike in this matter:) I remember waking up the day after my surgery and saying to myself "it's done don't have to worry about that any more" what a great feeling:) Wishing you a peaceful nights rest and praying for your speedy recovery. Happy to see you on this side, glitches and all. Nothing that we haven't heard about & you'll be fine. Give yourself time... TAKE your time... You're not going to win any awards for pushing too hard. I'm so glad for you it's now behind you & healing will be your priority. Rest, relax, & enjoy the RELIEF! ❤

@psychteach Glad things worked out okay in the end - sounds like in spite of a couple glitches, you're at about the same place most of us have been within the first 12 hrs or so, so great job. Good for you to remember the ice - they didn't remember for me and it wasn't until they started talking about how bad my bruising was that I asked for it. Didn't seem to help much by then, and then moving it at one point, the pouch broke open and I was suddenly sitting in a pile of ice chips. Brrrr - but kinda felt good, actually! LOL. Funny the things that happen sometimes and you're so loopy you hardly notice. Rest well. Tomorrow's Day 2 of the journey to your new life!

See, one of the benefits of being on for five months is that you know others have gone thru
the glitch that you did, and are doing just fine.
Rest up, you earned it!

So 3am sleep is erratic . On an off. Taking tramadol every 4 hours and toradol in IV every six. Pain is only when I move.. About a 4 . Doctor says there are no more restrictions cause of fracture , although I feel a little apprehensive. Actually I feel apprehensive about moving in general.. Did you all feel that? Worried it won't hold me although I have been told it will. Blood pressure back up to 111/58.. Moving up slowly. Drain is still draining.. Not too much swelling.. Keeping ice on it most if time. Don't like not moving much. But I don't want to get dizzy till blood situation is squared away. They said drain and cathater will come out in today. I will need to see how bathroom goes then. Slow and steady..I have had 7 bags of fluids 8n last 22 hours .. I feel puffed up!

@psychtech - immensely proud of you! And happy to hear from you as I knew you were being a "rock star". Hope I can do as well as you and not pass out going into the hospital. It's all becoming quite real now.

I can't remember... Did you have anterior or posterior. Any idea how long the incision. Not sure why I worry about that lol. Hope your pain is much better this morning. Your my hippie hero!!!

Xoxoxo
