@Hoppy Nanny - thanks Chrissie and no - not long at all:)
Oh @Poppet - it is just after 5 here and I am up after getting to bed at 12:30 - thanks for the sympathetic insomnia :heehee: and yes - would be great to have a natter together:thumb: According to my mate in the class this OS does spinals so that is what I will have a I guess but will find out more during my pre-op. Interesting you didn't have suppositories mentioned Poppet
And @MajorHeidi yes you're right Claire - I really could have taught it. My DW was disgusted when I told her that the physio showed up a picture of an x-ray of a hip that had been replaced - on her mobile phone! Here pass it around she said very proud she had it - oh goodness me - it was nearly too much for me and I very nearly broke out in fits of laughter:rotfl:
I am now about day 20 into my probiotics and will continue at least a month or so after my THR so that should cover that. I am thinking that is what I will have to do - take the suppository in hospital when I get there? Not sure but will let you know when the time comes.

Also thanks so much for all your kind words about my photograph. This journey of pain has been interspersed with little moments of joy through my photography and I received word that two of my pictures are being put in a photpgraphic exhibition at an art gallery in Noosa Regional Gallery (for those who know Oz!). The exhibition is called "Tales from our coast" The exhibition is on from early May to the end of June so I will have a chance to get there and actually see my photos on the wall which will be a great thrill :happydance:I've attached the pictures if you would like to see them.

Wow Bill, both of those pix are stunningly beautiful.
Congratulations!!!!! You will be so proud to go see that in person with your new hip. Yeah!

Hey Bill @fulafoto .......I keep having to look for you and so much has happened! First of all congratulations on your photos you are so talented!! I don't handle a camera very well, my DH always gets these new fangled gadgets with so many buttons that I can't figure out how to use them. I just want the old days, say cheese and shoot! Secondly, so happy that you have a date and things are coming closer to actually happening, I am so happy for you. I can't wait for you to have relief from your pain, I only wish that you could get them both done at once if they both are bad. Just over and done with. I want to brag, 18 days post op and I have not had to use the walker in 4 days! I did 4 hours at the office today and drove round trip 14 miles...I even got my drawers on all by myself, huge accomplishment! I did the stairs one foot at a time and getting in and out of the suv was the easiest ever! It was windy and I was sooooo tempted to pick up the rake and move some leaves, but second thought I will give it a wee bit more time! LOL I can't wait until you start posting about all the wonderful things you are doing. Please find me down the road in case I get misplaced, everything just seems to happen so quickly, a blur. At times I feel like a kid, the excitement of being able to have control of my life again instead of pain controlling me, every day is a new adventure! Stay strong, keep taking those beautiful shots of nature, soon this will all be in the past and you will be free of your pain bondage.

@MajorHeidi - so right Claire - cannot wait to walk into the gallery to see them:happydance:
Thankyou so much @GaRosehippy Roseann and I know what you mean about losing people! It is very hard to keep up isn't it but fear not - I will make sure I keep you in the loop:thumb:. I am so pleased your getting around so well - you are doing sensationally well - you must feel like a new woman and congratulations :yay:- I sincerely hope you continue to improve in leaps and bounds.
@Hoppy Nanny Thank you so much again Chrissie - I do appreciate your comments:)

Yes me too, Some days you put up with the pain then you get the days if you sit down it takes half a hour to stand up straight and walk off.
